when I use pal pay they just deduct it from my bank account & if it's low on funds it comes from my credit card. I don't get charged fees from the bank only if I use credit card.

Really??? How did you set it up like that... I have to transfer funds from my bank account to Paypal Manually, usually takes 4 days to clear...

I've got a Credit Card registered with Paypal, but it has never used it or anything...

You just verify your account, I think the first time I used it I just clicked on pal pay icon which took me to log on page to set up an account. verify was always sitting on my account so I selected to verify bank details so I have don't have to enter my account details again

My account has been Verified for years, but it still takes 3-4 business days for a transaction to occur between my bank and Paypal...

Maybe Paypal has a different agreement with banks in Australia...

log into paypal & click on profile & click on add bank account.

When on line I click on checkout with pal pay which automatically takes you to pal pay & I log in, it just shows me my purchase . click on confirmation & then you are back with the main web site which gives you the download link or what ever you are buying.

I can't see why australia would be different.

I do all that, but if I don't have money in the Paypal Account it will inform me that there isn't Insufficient Funds and make me do a Bank Transfer, then it puts everything on hold for 4 days... Why it takes 4 days is beyond me, electronic transfers should take that long... Paypal computer sends a message to my bank computer asking for X amount of Dollars, my banks sends signal back saying yeah it's here, take it, then Paypal takes X amount... Should be done within seconds like any other transaction online...

I'll look my account over later, maybe there is something that I didn't check or something that I should have...

Yeah I see that, but I must have set my bank account up differently back when I signed up... Because when I had done a lot of X-Mas shopping through ebay and other sites that I used Paypal to pay for and forget to replenish my funds and when 3 Cards came out and I bought it, I didn't have the money to cover it, so it made me do a Bank Transfer which took 4 days to clear...

I don't know, maybe they've changed some things since I opened the account, I've had it for about 10 years now... Maybe the changes aren't retroactive unless I do something on my end that I haven't done yet...
I'll look into it later, it's not that big a deal... It's not that often I left the funds run low... It was more the wife that did it, because she would buy stuff and use Paypal and then not tell me... Well I ain't gotta worry about that no more... lol

well before paypal had the australian site It used to go to the main site & I always just paid by credit card & had to input my credit card number each transaction. It always showed unverified & I think there was a Limit you could spend.

Once I verified my bank account it takes it from that account & if not enough funds they debit the credit card. You are able to change the account at any time however. My bank charges overseas conversion rate but when my bank account is used I don't pay anything extra.

I have never had money in the paypal account, I actually didn't know people did that.
I've had my account for 5-6yrs.

I did a survey for paypal about a year ago as they were finding people didn't know how to use it.

you crack me up when I hear you talk about the wife.............LOL
hiow long do you need to be separated before you can get divorced. Over hear it's 12mths.
divorces are quite easy when they are no kids or property settlement

Well I don't believe in Credit Cards... Those companies are just to anal and just want to rip anyone off that they can... If I can't afford it, then I don't need it... lol There are only 2 things I will buy on Credit, that is Properties and Vehicles... Anything else, if I can't pay cash, then I can do without it until I can pay cash...

Well like I said it rarely happens that I go low on funds, so it isn't that big a deal... But I'll look it over the next time I'm dealing with banking stuff... I normally keep a few hundred dollars in there... The Money Market Account earns interest and I don't get charged for using the money in there like I do with CDs and such...
