Hey, I've been making a rather epic and exhaustive Tex Murphy adventure using ADRIFT over the past year, complete with graphics and sound, but I need voice actors...

I am a specialist in accents, and have most of the male parts covered, but a few go wanting, and my girlfriend can do one and only accent... overly-posh english (her natural) so female voice parts need filled.

Would be great to hear from some willing fans of the series.

Cheers,

Dav

I can only do American English which is not very exciting.

Right-oh. Please do.

I'm working on a DarkBasic addon to allow a 3D-environment movement, which is coming extremely well. Hopefully have everything transcribed and ported fairly soon, time allowing, so I'll be needing a decent Chelsee impression soon...

Once its finished, it will essentially look like UAKM but without the video... all the fun's still there though.

If anyone has collaborative ideas for the story, or possibly a story for the next game, let me know.

We wrote a round robin thing a while back. Check in on that if you need inspiration.

This project sounds ambitious. I'd certainly be interested in reading the script and/or seeing a demo.

Aaron Conners spoke of the UAKM novel as being the story they wanted to make the game to be, but couldn't because of budget. I don't know what ADRIFT can do, but since Aaron's made the novel free on the site, would an adaptation be out of the question?

Just a thought.

Certainly not out of the question. Source material for project 2 would be easier if pre-written lol

Current project is set 10 years after Pandora, and a typically down-trodden Tex is putting his life back togehter whilst saving the damn world again... typical.

EDIT: ADRIFT is currently evolving into a v5 and although my adventure is written in v4 I will be porting it fully to v5 before release

Tex fighting to save the world while pushing 50? Sounds like fun.

Well, Tex was never known for his speed or athletic dispatch of enemies, but he's a hound, and even when life hits the skids for (what surely must be) the last time, and old dog will crack new tricks over the bad guy's head and head back to the office for some shut eye...

Going to try throwing together a working demo using another game engine to allow better quality FMV integration, especially in regards to conversations. It will probably consist of a single location and one or two character interactions, just to test functionality.

This engine, amongst other advantages to the genre, allows better and more complex puzzles.

If I decide to pursue this engine, anyone with a decent-quality video camera could help out with conversation pieces, should they feel like it!

This excites me. I'm in. If you want to see my camera/voice work, hit up my Youtube channel:

If you're a Tex fan, you'll definitely like the most recent two (and the third, which I hope will be finished this Friday!).

Accents on request. I specialize in British/Cockney, but I imagine you've got that covered. I can also do Scottish, Irish, German, Russian, Southern American, and Jamaican accents.
