Re: "Tex Murphy - Project Fedora" is now live on Kickstarter.
I think it would be very interesting if Kicktraq had the ability to do comparisons between Kickstarters. Say if you could pick three campaigns and it would overlay the graphs so that you could see how they compare.

No no, there's nothing wrong with it. I just can't believe there are that many more RPG fans out there than adventure game fans.

Re: "Tex Murphy - Project Fedora" is now live on Kickstarter.
Ya I don't get it. With Leisure Suit Larry, their slowest day had 206 backers. For Tex, 4 out of the first 8 days have had less than that. They had almost 6000 backers by day 8. :( Could you imagine if we had 14 000 backers? Where are all these people that are willing to pledge $15 for a remake, whe...

Re: Request: Overseer music track.
I worked for a computer store at the time that Overseer was released. We were given a bunch of copies of the soundtrack to give away to customers. I ended up with a few of them. I haven't seen them in a while, I wonder if I still have any of them. It was this one here... http://www.bysmitty.com/Soun...

I loved FMV games in the early 90's because video on computers was simply amazing all by itself. Our first computer was a Packard Bell 486SX25 and when it turned on the first time, it played a video of some guy (probably the CEO or something) welcoming you to your new computer. It was only a tiny wi...

Re: Average Age of the Average Tex Murphy Fan
Playing "Mean Streets" with my friend on his 286. Must have been around 12. The "Real Sound" was pretty amazing since my friend's PC didn't have a sound card. I then got UAKM for my 16th birthday. Absolutely loved it. I still get the warm fuzzies when I hear the new day theme mus...

Re: Your Personal Goal for Kickstarter Donations
wow, those are some great pledges. I'm hoping to swing $100. I told me wife about it and she thought I was crazy to pay that much for a game. Sure it could be looked at as pre-ordering a game, but if they don't raise enough money the game will not get made (at least not to the standards I'm hoping f...

Re: Concerned about the Campaign start date on Kickstarter.
I'm not familiar with how Kickstarter works much but I did see a Kickstarter which had two separate $50 rewards stating that the 2nd $50 one was "just for the poster" due to so many requests. So it looks like you can add a new reward after the fact depending on demand? Shame if they don't...

I think $1000 for a part as an non-speaking extra is fair, assuming you are willing to pay your way there. Being in the background shouldn't effect quality and save the company money, since they would usually pay for extras. Hopefully there are no issues regarding the screen actors guild If the pers...

Re: Concerned about the Campaign start date on Kickstarter.
Well, now that some time has passed, I'm a little less concerned about the delayed start date. Most of the campaigns will be over by May 15th (or shortly thereafter) and by making an early announcement, it will give fans time to plan their finances and even spread the word. Hopefully since everyone ...

Re: Concerned about the Campaign start date on Kickstarter.
I'm in the same boat (worried about the delay). With every new Kickstarter for a new game or remake more and more comments on Kotaku and the like are getting more and more negative. Many of the comments consist of people getting fed up with all of Kickstarter campaigns at the same time. By May 15th ...

I have to agree with Fred. You can't think about it by what you expect the game to be worth. The idea is to raise enough money for the game to get made and everyone involved to get paid. Once that is done, the rest is gravy. If they have to give out 20 000 copies or 100 000 copies it doesn't cost th...
