Re: Ryan Jones, Step up to the mic!

The Banner Saga (which made about 724.000) posted an interesting breakdown for their project today: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/stoic/the-banner-saga/posts/251386?ref=activity Of $730k, 10% immediately comes out for amazon, kickstarter and failed payments. We actually had a shockingly low nu...

Re: Show Support, Renounce Free/Buy Extra Copies

By the way, I wanted to say "Indie Game" not "Indy Game". Yikes!

Re: Show Support, Renounce Free/Buy Extra Copies

I don't think we will be able to buy the game in our local gaming stores anytime soon. Maybe never. Because, the thing is, business models have changed. Publishers stopped supporting adventure games a long time ago, and nowadays you would be hard pressed to even get shelf space for a Tex Murphy game...

Re: Congratulations to all of the "Old Guard".

Delurking once more ... I originall played UAKM back in 94 or 95. A little while later I sold my PC to afford a Sega Saturn (remember that?). Yeah, in hindsight, that wasn't the best choice. Over the next few years, I always wanted to play Pandora and Overseer, but never get to the chance to do so. ...

Re: "Tex Murphy - Project Fedora" is now live on Kickstarter.

I am not sure, if we lost a 5000 backer, but last morning (Central European Time) a huge chunk of money was withdrawn. I remember checking early in the morning, seeing the project at over 274.000, then checking an hour later, seeing it at about 272.000. There were other backers redrawing their pledg...

Re: "Tex Murphy - Project Fedora" is now live on Kickstarter.

NO, you are NOT!

(I am 34 ...)

Actually, I like how they aged up Rook in the video. He looks ancient now. As long as Rook is around, Tex will always look young.

Re: "Tex Murphy - Project Fedora" is now live on Kickstarter.

You-Have-Fax, I have written messages to Chris and Aaron right from the Kickstarter page 3 separate times, and received very prompt replies. Please do that - they listen, and they need the help! There is a "send a message" link right on the main project page. Yeah, you are right. I am get...

Re: "Tex Murphy - Project Fedora" is now live on Kickstarter.

Yeah, I have always had that impression. On the other hand, Chris did very well in that Retronick interview. And I also think that Jane Jensen was very awkward in her early Kickstarter videos. In fact, that was one of the most interesting things about her campaign. She passionately put herself out t...

Re: "Tex Murphy - Project Fedora" is now live on Kickstarter.

Long, rambling post incoming! DUCK! And once again I de-lurk ... here's the thing ... while Chris and Aaron have been running an awesome campaign so far, they have been falling short in one area: PR. In fact, I'd say that's why the two guys are struggling as well. I followed the Pinkerton Road campa...

Re: Day Two - The Search For Day One`s Success

Somebody in the Kickstarter comments just noted that Project Fedora has now overtaken the Two Guys of Andromeda's Space Venture in the amount of money pledged. Pretty great for Tex, considering the Space Venture has been online a week longer. Sad for the Two Guys though. I certainly want them to be ...

Re: Day Two - The Search For Day One`s Success

By the way, just to show you guys how unpredictable gaming Kickstarters can be, have a look at the day-to-day results of recent media darling Republique. http://www.kicktraq.com/projects/486250632/republique-by-camouflaj-logan/ Now, that's a strange one. Started bad, got worse(r) and finally shot up...

Re: Day Two - The Search For Day One`s Success

Hey there! Long time lurker here. I registered here specifically to say one thing: Guys, the sky isn't falling. Certainly not yet. In fact, the campaign has been doing rather well so far, and I am sure Chris and Aaron are actually quite happy with it's success so far. But I'd like to get some miscon...
