Re: CD to DVD???

I made a DVD of Pandora Directive a long time ago using this but never played it until now. I am having the problem with it asking for DISK #4 when trying to view items at Roswell. I could resort to the old disk swapping, but is there an easy way to fix this? I burned it to a DVD-RW, so I hope I don...

Believe it or not, I have seen on some sites that this game has a SEQUEL coming out this next year! Now, if Conspiracies can have a sequel, why not TEX MURPHY? Yea, yea, I know ... Tex Murphy hired Hollywood actors, etc, but have you seen the acting in Conspiracies? UAKM didn't have any "real&q...

Yes. I think the whole "freedom fries" thing is basically a joke, but hatred of the French is not new. The French have always been the butt of jokes whether it is their pansy like powdered wigs, the fact that they always surrender before every battle, their arrogance, the fact that they ha...

Yes, but you will need DOSBOX. It is a free DOS emulator you can Google for it. All the TM games are now easily playable on XP through DOSBOX.

I imagine if you played Overseer first you would prefer it, but I like Mean Streets. I admit there is some nostalgia there but everything in Mean Streets, save the graphics and 3D envioronment, were better in Mean Streets. Granted the flight sim and action sequences were unnecessary, but consider th...

Yea, I am starting to think I am the only one who has played any of the pre-UAKM games. Even the first two Tex Murphy adventures haven't been ranked here. Maybe that just means I am very old.

Pandora A+ Overseer A UAKM B I wonder, why so many people rate Overseer so low; I think it was a great game and had a much better story and actors compared to UAKM. Can't speak for everyone but for me it was old hat. It was a remake of Mean Streets, and the changes they made were not that good. It ...

I think it is time we rate all the Access Adventure games from 1st to last with a grade attached to each in brackets as follows: 1. TEX MURPHY - UNDER A KILLING MOON (A+) 2. TEX MURPHY - PANDORA DIRECTIVE (A) 3. TEX MURPHY - MEAN STREETS (A-) 4. TEX MURPHY - OVERSEER (B+) 5. AMAZON - GUARDIANS OF ED...

OKay. Here is my update. That annoying error message apparently is an XP thing. As for the sound, I found that the movie sound is playing but it is so low that I can barely hear it. If I manually turn up the sound then TEX starts shouting after the movie is over. I have the movie volume up full. Is ...

Okay guys. I have upgraded to XP and decided to upgrade to DVD along with it. I have followed all the instructions here so far including installing the Elcard MPEG-2 Player. Three problems. First, the video plays fine but there is no sound. Second, when Tex's office loads there is an error reading &...

That is the problem. Do a file search on your computer. It should be somewhere on your system. Just copy it to that folder and adjust the read only. That should fix the problem.

Please tell EXACTLY what errors you are getting. Maybe then we can narrow down the problem. Also include your COMPLETE system specs.
