Tex is on the 4th floor of the Tesla Society, got the fire extinguisher, but can't get out because a fireball is stuck in place at the safety zone and won't move. He can't get out. Now what?

Isn't there a control for having ex duck down to hide behind something and then get up again? I forgot. Am playing the game again.

When Tex is in danger of being hit with fireballs or by a monster, hit the right mouse button to bring up the menu and the monster and fireballs will pass you by. No dodging needed.

Problem solved. I learned, through the board at GOG, that cell block A was plagued with these crashes, so I needed to move slowly and turn only to the right and stay away from the walls. Once I got out of that area, I was fine. Game finished.

I'm using Win 7. Everytime I try and turn away from the locked door where I have to find the invisible key to unlock it, the game crashes to the desktop. But it doesn't crash well enough that I can restart it. The computer thinks I'm still running the game. So I have to log out and try again. This h...

Jen, I was the one who found it by accident when my finger "hiccuped" over the right mouse and brought up the menu. You were sooo po'd that you hadn't done it and had to fight the fireballs and the tunnel creature. That's the cheat I was was thinking of, Silvermitt. Hope it helped you.
