I don't stop by every day, but I'd say I stop by once a week or so to see how things have been going.

Re: Alien: Isolation (Damsel in distress)
I was brave enough (I even played it on hard mode, which is a rarity for me), and I succeeded. Alien Isolation is one of my favorites of this generation of games.

Re: On puzzles, adventure, and how the genre could evolve...
And so I'm thinking, adventure games of the future should strive to create a flexible environment where creative solutions, sometimes not even thought of by the devs, could actually work out. I think the only real way such a thing could exist if the puzzle revolves around physics and the players ab...

Actually, I thought that one was fairly simple. I walked up to the wine rack, saw it the established in 1879 and guessed the two were connected. Now I'm stuck on the checkerboard puzzle in the same room.

I wouldn't want the old controls. The old controls are like someone learning how to drive a stick shift, with all the starting and stopping. Moving around with the mouse was awkward, changing elevation was silly. Tesla provides a much more fluid control scheme. Now, if they had the old control schem...

Re: Tesla Effect - Public DEMO now available on Steam!
Holy cow! That was awesome! So far I've been maintaining my excite levels but now after having played a little of it I'm feeling giddy with anticipation for the full release.

Re: Gametrailers Top 10 Detectives
I would also add Max Payne and Ethan Thomas of Condemned to the short list of detectives. Condemned 2 was awful, but the detective work in Condemned 1 made the game more interesting than a slow crawl through thug central.

So I loaded up Pandora Directive and walked around his apartment, and all I could find was a bathroom sink and the mirror above it. Does he have a bathroom in his apartment that I missed? Surely he showers somewhere...I'm fairly certain Nilo's public bathroom doesn't have one, even if Tex was willin...

Hmmm...I thought the movie was pretty awesome. Looking at your chart... 1. I suppose I wouldn't be a Trekkie as I've yet to watch more than...one episode of the show. 2. But then I did watch the first four movies of the original series and liked all four. 3. It's a movie. I'm not expecting a perfect...

Re: Completely random question!
I've been listening to the Pandora Directive audiobook, and I got to a part in the Fuscia Flamingo. In the book Chelsea says that she's gotten an offer to sell her news stand. In the game Gus Leach stops Tex from reaching that point in the conversation. Did Chelsea sell off the news stand? If so, wh...

Re: Your favorite and least favorite puzzles out of the 5 ga
I didn't care for that fight. It felt like all I was doing was trial and error until I forced out the right answer the game wanted from me.Fred Buer wrote:Now, my favorite puzzles include Malloy's puzzle boxes (except Elijah Witt's box) and the fight with Big Jim Slade.

Not me, sir. I wasn't even there when Under a Killing Moon came out. A friend of mine actually showed me that one, but at the time PC gaming was mystery to me. Interestingly enough, it was PC Gamer that reintroduced me to Tex with a demo disc, prominently featuring Tex on the containers cover art. A...

Re: Completely random question!
Another random question:
How long has Tex been a PI? That is assuming that his first actual work as a PI was for the Colonel. I just don't remember what year he began his detective work.
