Re: Why Not Put Tex on the "Steam" site?

And as I said, that's hardly "ages". Tex games came to GOG in 2009. Now, *that's* ages, because that's 7 years. If OP had asked about GOG, then you would've been right.

Re: Another, cool adventure game

Now we're talking. I enjoyed "Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy" a lot. But this is an old game, and only works best on XP. On Windows 7 and beyond, you have to switch to windowed mode to avoid video artifacts.

Re: Alone in the Dark Remasterd

Sadly, the feedbacks from critics and gamers have been so negative that I likely won't play this one.

Oculus Rift - virtual reality headset

Anyone planning to get this? As all of you must know, our beloved Tesla Effect is one of the supported games. Chris also made a video pitch for it . That was 2 years ago. After much delay, the release of OR is finally imminent. But the PC system requirements are STIFF, reportedly the equivalent of p...

Re: Adventure/horror games on Steam

It seems to have been pretty well-received, but I've read that it was very much like Resident Evil. I used to enjoy RE games but have now got tired of them.

Re: Alien: Isolation (Damsel in distress)

The game was terrific, but the constant need to crouch while moving made me feel like an old lady with arthritis.

Re: Great adventure-games makers

I would also mention Robyn and Rand Miller who created the "Myst" series. There are detractors of those games, but the series pioneered the serene, peaceful, unthreatening style of adventure-gaming, which still influence over today's games.

Re: Fahrenheit remastered

From the screenshots, it doesn't look like a big visual improvement over the original game, which can be had cheaply in holiday sales.

Re: Microids collection

Missing on that list is "Post Mortem", which spawned Still Life 1 and 2, with 2 being the worst in the series.

Re: Day of the Tentacle on Steam

The most astonishing thing is how closely the remake resembles the original. If you played their remake for Monkey Island, you noticed color schemes and model designs that were quite different and "renewed" compared to the original. Here, the 256-color palette is retained, and the shadows ...

Re: Why Not Put Tex on the "Steam" site?

Later being almost 2 years ago..... That's pretty long in 'game time'. Steam started selling them in June 2014, I believe. 1 year and 8 months is hardly "ages". Sometimes I don't realize a game has been released until 1-2 years later or longer, especially if the game isn't AAA and/or you ...

Yeah, I like them too!
Yes. Some of them can be played either in 1st or 3rd person mode as well.

Re: Day of the Tentacle on Steam

Thankfully, they found the original voice recordings and used them in the remake.

Re: Full Throttle will be BACK!!!

My first thought after playing Full Throttle in the 90s was that it was a disappointing game considered what LucasArts had made before.
