re: Wait a minute ... Is that Regan?

When I started watching That 70's Show I always thought that she looked and sounded familiar, but couldn't quite put my finger on it. I hardly recognised here with blond hair. It wasn't until I decided to replay PD again that I realised it was Regan.

re: The end of Electronics Botitique, The end of used PC ga

EB Games seems to be still around in Australia. They don't even deal with used PC games, which is understandable considering how easy it is nowadays to make copies when compared to XBox and PS2 games.

re: Fir the funn of it all.

I agree that spam can be a real pain in the ass. I've always been baffled at how little security and verification is required to send emails which is probably the major contributor to the problem. If somebody comes up with a sure fire way to put a stop to spammers, I'm sure they'll make alot of mone...

re: So you like Sierra Adventures.....

I started adventures games (and PC games in general) with Kings Quest, Police Quest and Larry. They also helped me learn how to type! I also loved Space Quest. I thought it was so cool when they switched to point-and-click with real voices (from Space Quest 4 onwards I think). I like to see these ga...

re: Podcasting and other new web technologies...

Making TMRT available to more people is a great idea. I think that newcomers would be left wanting more than 6 episodes though. Podcasting is basically MP3 downloading, but with the convenience of keeping track of the latest updates added to the list. It basically tags and downloads new files automa...

re: A Message from AC

I think it's great that AC actually takes the time to mingle with the fans. You gotta repect a person who really loves what they do and appreciate the people who appreciate them (I think I got that right!?) I'm also looking forward to your upcoming game, Tex-related or not. I've got PC and Playstati...

re: I have had enough. Honestly...

Very funny indeed!
For a moment there I was afraid that this forum was taking an evil turn towards a typical scratch-fight forum.

Looking at that site, it's amazing how they can construct such large general statements and make it sound believable to the reader. It's kinda like fortune telling really.

re: (Visible) Tex Murphy Radio Theater (and in german)

Great effort! Even though I don't speak german. :?

Intresting way to present TMRT. I always thought that TMRT would look and sound great if it was done in the graphic novel style used in Max Payne 1 & 2. Now that would be cool!

re: What was your favorite non-tex adventure?

I never saw what people saw in the Myst games. I tried to play Riven once and just got bored and frustrated because there was nothing to do or follow. Anyway, my favourites off the top of my head: Day of the Tentacle Sam & Max Hit the Road Space Quest 4-5 Runaway (could've been better, here's ho...

Re: re: Best scene in Tex Murphy Series ...

See, I didn't like the fight scene between Big Jim Slade and Tex at all. I thought it was a bunch of poorly cut together clips, and it felt more like I was guessing at what was the solution to get by then anything else. In fact, if my memory serves me right, some of the clips repeated themselves. I...

re: Best scene in Tex Murphy Series ...

UAKM - When Tex is breaking into the Knickerbocker and falls from the window and bounces up and down from the awning below. UAKM - The destruction of the Moon Child. PD - When Tex first enters the Electronics store and gets his credit card zapped. "I guess that means my credits shot" PD - ...

Welcome! Always good to know that Tex has a strong fan base down under.

Re: re: new tex

Well, let's think of the various different formats that Tex can take. Uh, you forgot about radio theatre? I don't really like the idea of a text based game. Since UAKM, tex games have always taken advantage of the latest technologies, text based would be a giant step backwards and you're better off...

re: Pc game Collecting

And ofcourse I've still got the boxes for UAKM, PD and TMO. I've even kept the cardboard slip that held UAKM and PD together in the twin pack and the little flashing red light for TMO.

re: Pc game Collecting

For some strange reasons I just tend to keep the boxes for games I buy. Don't really go to any trouble in trying to build a collection or anything.
I think I still have Space Quest V on 5.25" floppy tucked away somewhere!
