GOG you download and go! No DRM, no log in. Redownload as you need to another machine. Steam MAY have some log in requirements. We don't know all the specifics yet. It's kinda cool, but essentially it's the game without all the manuals and swag inside and a white sticker on the box under the shrink wrap.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with issues of the "narrator". Honestly I didn't care for Smart Alex. He's a PDA/smartphone, not a sentient sidekick. Besides it's always been just me and Tex. This buttinski is unwelcome IMHO. :| No disrespect to Kevin Murphy of course. He's a super cool guy!

After downloading the game twice, installing DirectX version 9.0c, and restarting my Windows 8 Lenovo laptop, the game will not launch. Just a blank, black screen. AAAAARRRRRRGH!!!! Hmmmm, did load the codec you suggested, still no go. Does 20 meg seem a bit small for a minute and a half of video? Anyone else get it to run?
