Website suggestions

You know, TexMurphy.com links to the messageboard, and I'm afraid visitors coming that way will never come across the excellent front page with James's beautiful flash GUI. The link in the upper left hand screen of the messageboard appears to be just a label or avatar for the messageboard, and I doubt many would think clicking it would take you anywhere but here. Some sites have only a messageboard and no main site, and I suspect people who come here first will never realize there is a main page. If I am correct in this, I have two suggestions:
1) The kind soul who bought us TexMurphy.com could link directly to the front page. If this was chosen, I'd recommend making the messageboard link at the bottom of the main page stand out a bit more (larger font or something).
2) Alternatively, we could leave the TexMurphy.com link as is, but have a more obvious link within the messageboard to the main site. This could be as simple as a "Click here for more Tex Murphy!" or something below or beside the UTM Web Site graphic.
This isn't a really big deal, but I thought I'd suggest it. What do you guys think?

The thing that makes the link to the board, instead of the web site nice, is that the board is always aflutter with traffic, and people that stumble across it quickly get drawn into the fact there's a good group of folks here, and there's plenty of interaction and a welcoming enviroment.
James has not been able to update the main page very often, the latest news is over a year old. Not that that's James' fault, but I personally think that the link should stay to the message board.
Jes my $.02.

That's my vote, as well, Jen, and for the same reason. The messageboard is where the life is, but that only goes so far for people not well-acquainted with the TM universe: that's where the main site comes in.

I agree with Jen here.
Granted, the main page has plenty of first-class content. However, events in the TM universe being few and far between. most of the content is necessarily somewhat old and unchanging.
What truly sets Unofficial Tex Murphy apart from all the others is that the message board is teeming with life.

Shouldn't be too hard to add a link somewhere on the forum index.php or a simple banner advertising the main website. Seems like the easiest option.
As for updates to the main website, to be fair there isn't much material to update with and I agree most of the action is here on the forum. If anyone thinks something could be added then offer a suggestion (or even create something).
