I got mail

Hi all today the mailman came and gave me a envelope with a shiny silver disk.

Yes gents and ladies im holding a Tex Murphy DVD Overseer in my hands.

Now the funn stuff starts i got to install it on my windows XP box. becouse my win98 box dont have a DVD drive hehe.

PS This has been a useless post brougt to u by ME ahhh,

PPS yes im mental it hapened afther i got the mail.

Now i just got to find out what im doing wrong i can only get a black screen.


Ahh im runing dvd version on a pentium 3 1000 mHrz with 512 megs of memory.

1 i instaled using copatebilety set to windows 95 on the setup went like a breese. (Including the audio setup)
2 instaled patch 104
3 instaled the DVD express
4 Set compatebilety to windows 95 for the excuteble and hit go go go.

black screen ohoh.

Ohh well its geting hot sun and all ima gone sit in garden for a few hours laters.

Black screen as in video doesn't play?

After installing dvd express you also need to select 'dvd express' in your options screen.
After that you should get colors :wink:
Don't give up! I had also problems with Overseer DVD (I got it about 6 months ago), but after some hours of fighting it started to work perfectly :)

OK i renamed the 2 ini files and can now start the game but at one point i get the wierd cursor trails and i cant do anything LOL

As u can read a work in progress

That happens to me sometimes... you need to swtich from Hardware acceleration to software... or vice versa and it should fix you up.

that seemed to work i did crash a few times but it was a windows mesage and i was running alot of other programs at the background ill let u know but its so SWEET seeing tex live once more
