Out of Money Experience

Well it's me again. I have recently come into some cash that I can once again toss towards bills. This of course has left me bitter. I could use that cash for all kinds of cool stuff but bills are bills. So having a distaste for money loss it left me dwelling on the look of the bills. I recalled one visit to the states and I actually had someone ask me if my Canadian money was actually real money. Granted it doesn't look like US money but to question whether or not it was money at all was a little odd. Anyway I uploaded an image of my recently spent bucks so you tell me if you think the money is odd. I personally like the $50 has a cool red colour to it. I think it's my fav bill to get. However for dollar value it's obviously the thousand dollar bill and many of them. Anyway here's the pic:

I don't think it's odd at all, actually quite nice... they are also fairly consistent, except for the colour.

Where as ours has different sizes and colours.

ooohhhhh.... pretty! Although our five has changed a bit since that picture was taken.

EDIT > Here are soem more samples (with the current $5)... they are plastic bills and note each bill has a transperent window.

How many times must they change that bloody $5 note. :D

Its always fun when you see green in your wallet :P
Here's a view of all the bills we have in Denmark (front and back of each bill will be shown). The image is taken directly from the Danish National Bank.

100 DKK = 17.4559 USD

Our bills all feature a historical Danish person - for example:

50 DKK bill = Karen Blixen, Author
100 DKK bill = Carl Nielsen, Composer
200 DKK bill = Johanne Luise Heiberg, Actress
500 DKK bill = Niels Bohr, Nuclear Physicist
1000 DKK bill = Anna & Michael Ancher, Visual Artists

Thanks, Michael for upholding the European Flag.
I was also thinking of posting our European bills.

More interesting in Europe are the coins, because they have different images for each country they were printed in, e.g. the Netherlands and Belgium have their queen/king engraved on the front.

See if you can get some scans of Norwegian money :D

Why is England on the Euro? They don't use Euros... lol.
Well here's a page with British Currency on it:

The ones on the left are the ones I mostly see currently I think, mostly using that iconic image of the Queen. Ours are pretty consistant with subdued colours, I like them, especially when in my wallet. Sadly I don't think I've ever seen the £50 one in reality, I'm open to offers of changing that fact though. I'm kinda surprised at some of the bold colours of other currencies on display here, they're pretty different and interesting, thanks for sharing.

Because it would belong to the European Union.
However the bills reflect the geographical map centered around Europe not the political one, so you can also see Norway, parts of Turkey, Russia and a few other countries, which don't belong to the EU - even North Africa.

On the coins however are only visible the countries which belong to the European Union, which led to some very bad jokes  :

Wintermute: Now that's priceless ;) I never even saw that but then again - Denmark doesn't have Euros - yet - so I don't get to see those coins all that often - even though I live quite close to Germany and even visit Germany on occasion.

Speaking of coins - here are the Danish coins as well ;)

As you can see from the above images, it's clear that Denmark is a kingdom seeing as how there are crowns on all of them + our Queen Margrethe is on the 10 DKK and 20 DKK :)
