Tex Pandora Canada Radio Show from 1997.

Back in 1997, tex fans were posting an Internet address to purchase a Canadian radio show of Pandora Directive. Here is one such referrence: http://www.geocities.com/timessquare/al ... erusty.htm
That webpage said it was once available to buy from this website: http://www.kent.net/dspaudio/about.htm
I called the producer of the radio show yesterday, his name is DAVID FARQUHAR. He told me that if enough people were interested in buying copies of this 2 hour show of Pandora Directive from 1997, then he could make it available to the public to purchase again (their show is a representation of the whole Pandora game).
David Farquhar talked with Aaron Conners in the late 90's, and got permission and a blessing to do the show.
(This might have been the inspiration for the 2001 Tex Radio series).
If this is interesting to you, let's tell the community and tally up a number that I can go back to David with.
If this is of no interest to you at all, then this might be a dead idea.
What do you think?
It had AC's blessing? Then sign me up. Go ahead and sign me up for two. Just in case...you know....one leaks. :P
Wow - that sounds cool. If it's not going to be way too pricy I would like a copy as well ... since the beginning of november my budget isn't really cut out for unexpected costs but as long as it can be done after december I think I might manage :)

I'd buy one...where do I sign up?

Hi Basti, I wondered if you would show up here again. Thought, that you had abonded this forum. ;-)
At least since I registered you hadn't posted anything yet.

Man sieht sich beim Treff. ;-)
Is this still going? And if so can I get in on the Pandora Directive radio drama?

The one that is here on teh site leaves me wanting more, and being a fan of Radio Drama's and Tex Murphy I'd love a copy of the Pandora Directive.

Na sowieso. :-) Hatte nur nichts besonderes zu sagen, seitdem ich nahezu jede Tex Murphy Version in praktisch allen Ausführungen und Sprachen mein Eigen nennen darf. ;-)

So what about this radio production? Any news?
I think there's about 10-20 people who would realistically purchase it, sounds like. The production guy who runs the radio station and interviewed Aaron probably was hoping for more, but it doesn't matter, I'll still get back to him and find out if he'll do it.
I'll post here when I find out.
I spoke with David who is very willing to get this moving, however, he needs "more numbers" as far as the number of people who will buy it is concerned. He said, "For example if the CDs were $20 a piece, and there's 100 people interested, that'd be 2,000 to afford studio time and recording and copyright details." So, this might be a dead issue unless we can somehow find around 100 interested people (might be a tall order).

The people shall decide the fate on this one.
Comments or suggestions?
Already, there's a development! David, the radio producer, spoke with me and asked me a question.

He said, "I want to release the 1997 recording of 'Pandora Directive' radio drama and also make NEW recordings; to have a 'Under a Killing Moon' recorded and 'Pandora Directive' re-made with famous television actors he knows."

He also added, "Also, if Aaron Conners were to be a part of these future productions (if he could endorse it or be a part of the creation / production), would that help fuel some interest? Because I can speak to him and he's been so accomidating in the past."

Can you believe this?! This David has a vision, and he wants to make a series out of this!
And it's all going to be up to our interest. We need some kind of make-shift petition website so we can log the number of people interested (dedicated) to purchase this 1997 recording for $15 to $20 a pop (the more people interested, the less the cost).
Anyone willing to put that name-log website together (nothing fancy)?

This has fantastic potential, and this guy's willing to pull all kinds of strings to get the licenses, the actors, and Aaron Conners!

Help anyone?
I would definitely buy one, probably a bunch of them! I'm also willing to help out, in any capacity. My resume, for anyone who might see this, is here. I'll be sure to check back for more news.

Nice resume, Alex. You're hired! Course, the pay's not too good. Sort of like Tex - always broke but within reach of a full pack of Llamas and a bottle of bourbon.
