I have played the first 3 episodes and I really like them so far. There are a few inventory puzzles but seeing as how the episodes are somewhat short compared to a "real" full length adventure game I guess one can't expect a lot of inventory puzzles.
I have enjoyed the games though and I'm looking forward to no. 4 which I haven't loaded up yet

Hi guys !
Its been a while - glad to see you're still here...
I couldn't resist trying out the new Sam'n'Max episodes.
Just like me, I'm sure a lot of you remember the good old days, where Sam'n'Max were hitting the road ? Those were the days
To see our freelance police return were something I wouldn't have thought possible. (A release were planned somewhere in the past, but it got cancelled, as im sure the my fellow Sam'n'Max-fans also remember only too well).
But here they are - and in great shape too !
I highly recommend everyone to try out the games.
Demo's can be downloaded at http://www.telltalegames.com, along with the full games if you like what you see.
They charge under $9 for one game, an extreamly reasonable price if you ask me.
We've all seen how herinteractive have managed to make a success out of a well known girl sleuth, whom I'll let remain nameless for the time being...
Sufficient to say, that herinteractive proved the demand and market for a game belonging to genre not too far away from our own favorite...
Now, if telltalegames should prove to do the trick as well... then we might just be heading for better times afterall...
In any case, I've bought the complete season 1, counting 6 episodes (2 of which hasn't been released yet).
They're great entertainment - try them out guys !
Happy Easter!
Greetings,
Jack

Well... yeah, I see what you mean, Andy... but...
I hope I wont spoil too much when revealing, that it's actually the huge statue of Abraham Lincoln, our Freelance Police are after.
Some incredible evil force has made the statue almost lifelike, and are now using its (and of course Lincoln's) popularity in a devilish plan to take control over the entire US.
It's this robot-statue, controlled by evil forces, that Sam and Max have it in for.

Actually I don't think that the "Nancy Drew" games (to name themJack wrote:We've all seen how herinteractive have managed to make a success out of a well known girl sleuth, whom I'll let remain nameless for the time being...

If you mean the adventure market in general, there are already again lots of adventures around the last 5 years.
I actually picked up a copy of Season 1 just this afternoon. I had just about an hour to load it on my computer and play around with it before heading into work. I never did play the original Sam n' Max back in the 90's, but at some point I may need to pickup a copy and load it in Dosbox. It sure is exciting to see a new adventure game that has the look and feel of the old classics; almost like a breath of fresh air.

I love the new series.
In the episode 'Reality 2.0', you get to play a text adventure. Nuff said.
