Pandora

Being that you have gotten this far (into apartment A) I don't think you have missed anything! Unless you have come across some sort of a glitch in the method you are using to run Pandora.

The letter an the pawn ticket should be located as shown below:

Even if you are missing any of these two items, neither are needed.

The pawn ticket goes to rook for the black dagger, which if not gotten here, shows up later in the game anyway.

Also the letter leads you to david wrights cabin, which is, in essence completely optional and not needed to complete the game.

Still stinks that you can't find them, but you can complete the game without them.

Really do not need them? Sure? Because in looking at the picture sent re the letter and pawn ticket - I, must indeed, have hit a glitch because these items simply are not there. Anyone know anything I can do to "undo this glitch" or correct it somehow?

I will play on but feel uncomfortable thinking somewhere along the line I will either need these items to get something else or will be left holding a bag somehow because I did not get them.

However as I said will play on and see how I do - mind if I come back to yell HELP if I get stuck because of this situation?

I remember someone along the way telling me that when configuring UAKM in dosbox 70 that some code (can't remember what) should be 7 and not 5 I believe. I tried that and got a message that it would not work on my PC so had to go with the number originally showing instead of the re-configuring at this point.

If that has anything to do with anything do not know. Also when I travel - often have to wait for the picture to appear - in fact Tex starts talking before the picture appears.

Everything else seemed to work so did nothing to try to adjust this. Maybe there are some adjustments I should do to smooth things out and then there would not be glitches?

You won't be able to visit David Wright's cabin at all, but you do *NOT* have to visit his cabin to finish the story. It's a nice side story, with a surprise in the locked cabin door if you get in, but not necessary to complete. Nor do you have to turn in the pawn ticket. I am 100 percent sure of this. If you don't turn in the pawn ticket for the black dagger, you will find it again in the Mayan Ruins on disc six at the end of the game.

A friend who is playing along with me just emailed me that she too had the same difficulty. Most reassuring as I was beginning to think there was something wrong with me/my PC. But she said she went back and replayed the segment - lo and behold the items were then there.

So I did likewise and sure enough found both items. What causes this have no idea but would love to talk to a programmer or PC tech to find out what happens in a game when this occurs.

Thanks for following my thread however and for the reassurance. So am off and running - in all 3 games as I am playing all three at once. What a challenge and what fun!
