Am I the only person here that actually likes that cover?
Also firstly, are we even sure we're told its meant to be Tex? I mean the idea was to pretty much give a description of the world (which is what Cyberpunk tends to do.. and draw as little relevance what so ever to the characters..)
If they wanted to go for the whole blade runner thing, they would have. I think this is just a way of them being original. Martian Memorandum has a cool cover too, gives me that whole late 1980s vibe

And I find the use of Emo in the description offensive
I forking hate Emos and they wouldn't have any idea what cyberpunk is all about because they are too busy writing blogs on how their life sucks.
The chick in the background is a hooker, in 1980s cyberpunk it was always common to have these two kinds of characters. (inspired by Case and Molly no doubt)
The other version of the Mean Streets box is an identical rip-off of the original blade runner poster/box art and I think the artist who did the UK version has done a great job at deviating from this... however it gives us no idea what brand it is associated to.
By UAKM that changed with our beloved "Detective holding a gun" logo
Btw, who ever did the artwork for UAKM did excellent job at ripping off the tv show Moonlighting

I must admit that the Cyberpunk element in Mean streets is what I really miss in Overseer. Such a pity AC didn't go for the whole Retro thing still the game was very enjoyable if a bit too clean for my tastes. Pandora was when I noticed AC was moving away from the retro look of his previous games. (the first 3 feel very retro, very 1980s Cyberpunk. UAKM has such an awesome 1990s vibe to it too, probably cause I was playing it at the same time as living in the period .)
