Overviewer...

The Overviewer can only extract the movie files from Overseer, not Pandora and UAKM. It can extract the Overseer videos from the CD version as SMK files, which can be played with the Bink & Smacker tools from RAD Video Tools... these files are able to be converted into AVI or MPG files with the Rad Video Tools. You can manually extract the video files from the DVD which are named all kinds of obscure extentions but if you rename them to .MPEG they should play (seeing as that is how they are compressed). The DVD video files are in the data folers starting wirh 'R' I think on the Overseer DVD.

So the program does not work with Pandora or Under a killing moon for extracting movie segments. Is there a alternative for Pandora and under a killing moon, cubase ?

The only way to get the video off Pandra is to use a game video capture program like FRAPS, you run the program, play the game and it records everything on screen.

Also Alex, the Overviewer is a program designed to extract the materials from the UAKM, Pandora and Overeer games. It works best with overseer, able to extract video and images. With UAKM and Pandora, it is best for extracting music and MIDI files.

I was thinking of making some sort of video with the scenes i like most out of Overseer. After i finish it, i would show it to my friends and ask them if they like it and of course with u guys.

We would be glad if i can expand the Tex community in the Netherlands, i already lended out UAKM to a friend, because he was interested when i was playing Overseer yesterday. I told him, hook this up to your pc and experience a real true adventure game with lots of humor and action

With regards to the video sequences, I probably sure that basti0007 created a Overseer VCD about a year or two ago, If it is possible, basti is the one to see. Jim TOG I'm sure you could get hold of basti0007.
