You're not missing out Cub. Up here in Norway we got that white crap covering everything eight months a year 
It's cold, it's wet, it's slippery, it's treacherous with snow atop ice on icy roads, it's dangerous, it's heavy to lift with a shovel hour after hour, and even more annoying still, you know you're breaking your back over something that will go away on it's own.
You want snow? I'm sure my fellow countrymen wouldn't mind giving you half our share.

I know I am supposed to be Australian, but the beach is probably one of the most overrated destinations! The sand gets everywhere, you only go there on a hot day and so you sit in the sun frying like bacon, the water tastes like crap when it involuntarily shoves itself down your throat whist trying to go for a dip, and by the time you leave you are too sun-fatigued to drive home!
But I must admit, a Christmas Day summer BBQ is awesome! But then it usually ends up at the beach! Arrggghhh!
