The NEW Official Shout Thread
Now an all new place to let it all out!
I am off to drink alcamahol becuase for once I am not designated driver! Woot! Sydney is the worst city to drive in anyway! It's a maze of no right turns and you can never go back the way you came. They say if you can master driving in Sydney you can master it anywhere. I would rather anywhere.
After 2 weeks from now, I will have gotten many many many important things done! No more anvils hanging over my head!
Still waiting for AC to reply with this short story reviews... I am eager to give out whose prizes (many thanks to Person X for the donations).
Did I say Woot?
No I am not drunk yet.

I would just like to say I am sick and tired of going to the software store and seeing the same crap that I have seen for the last 5 years on the shelves. My goodness can the companies that make this stuff grow some balls and do something orginial for a change. Its clone city for the PC Games. I sorely miss the old days when I went to a store and had an entire wall of games to choose from. At any one time there would be 5-8 new flight sims out, 10 adventure games, 10-20 sim games, ect ect.
I used to think how there were so many good games that I didnt have the time or the money to play them all. (and that was true) Today I go to the store see the exact same things I saw last year (sometimes with just a new name) and think oh well perhaps next year I will play a new game.
And another thing when are companies going to figure out that the people who buy PC games are DIFFERENT from those that buy console games. Darnit you cant have it both ways! Make a bloody good adult game (that means thought provoking, not indicent) and adults will buy it. When is a good plot going to come back to the PC. How many shooters can people play for goodness sake! I am sick to death of the way the PC is being handled.
Wake up people!

Plot? You expect games with plot? Apparantly all the game companies want to make is new role playing games that have a bare bones storyline and focus on the importance of gaining levels and finding the next best item (both online and not), strategy games in which you control massive armies and send them against other massive armies, and shooting games where you can kill nazi's, zombies and aliens from planet X!
But yeah, new games for the PC with depth are few and far between. It's like, you either get a game that's strong in gameplay and technical elements (Doom 3, Medal of Honor), or strong in storyline but with abysmal gameplay (Syberia, Syberia 2). Maybe one day we'll have both.

Hi guys...
I understand your feelings about this.
Speaking for myself, I can truthfully say, that I havent bought many games since Overseer came out... just about 3 or 4, counting Syberia and Syberia II, both of which (in my opinion) were great games...
I'm simply not tempted to buy any of these new games... probably due to the often used "shoot-em-down"-principle, which in my opinion is a bit primitive and very tiresome in the long run.
The funny thing about it is, that although I have quite a few nice games in my little collection, the Tex Murphy games are the only ones still going strong
Under a Killing Moon is a great example of this - I wouldn't hesitate to play (or buy) this game today, eventhough its 10 years birthday passed a long time ago.

I would just like to know when people will start taking driving more seriously. It seems like everyday, more and more people are driving recklessly, making getting around through the day more and more tiring.
Just eight days ago, I bought a new Scion tC, made by Toyota, to replace my older 1999 Volkswagen passat. 20 Hours after driving it off the lot, I was rearended while heading over to see a friend. While the car's damages are minor, and the front and back bumpers are the only thing that need to be replaced, dealing with insurance companies, and filling out claims and assessing the damages and repairs can get very tiring. I just want it all to be fixed so I can enjoy this new car.

Wow, sounds like quite the undertaking, cub. You'll have to show us your project, if you can. After the Phobus sky thing, I've been itching for something else from you
.
Well, here's my shoot, and it's a good one. Reds Win! Snapping a 5 game losing streak. And, Keisler is looking fantastic. Maybe the reds youngins will end up panning out. Well, since they are the Reds, they'll pan out just in time to get traded off for someone who won't be any good.
~Keck
June 8th: Reds win again! And, to quote Major League. We won one today and if we win one tomorrow, and then one more the next time, then we have what's called a winning streak

People not replying back to @&$*%# emails. It's driving me up a &#$*!@ wall. Hello, even if you are busy, take one moment to reply and let the person know a time when you will be able to get back with them.
And for those who have recieved a kindness or a thank you, how bout a quick note of acknowlegement ? It takes 15 seconds, and really is not just good manners, but good karma.
GGGRRRRR!!!!!!
I'm off to eat a pint of ice cream now.
