I just ordered

...some nostalgia! Duck Hunt for the NES :D

I expect it to arrive within the week, couldn't believe my luck!

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
Nice! That was an amazing gun. I wish I still had mine. The running pad would be good to have back too.

Sigh...just when those ducks thought they were safe...

I thought this was kind of interesting since we are on the topic of Duck Hunt.

Dude! Duckhunt, that was the very FIRST EVER game I owned on a console. I got a Nintendo for my birthday and the cartridge had 2 games in 1. Super Mario Brothers and Duckhunt. I even got the orange gun that came with it. Funnily enough, the gun was quite useless as that was the only game I had that was compatible with it.
Fred, You should have posted on the Message Board you were trying to get it... I would have sent a copy to you...

My blog:

I found a retailer in Sweden who buys used and new (what little new there is of NES cartridges, consoles and additional equipment), and was very pleased to see he had Duck Hunt and a Zapper.

They also had Sega, the Sega Megadrive (the 16-bit one) and SNES. Lovely stuff! Like nostalgia. In a can!

Thanks for the offer Baf, but unless you live in Europe, it would've been incompatible with my NES console :)

I too had that awesome Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt pack

Man you learn to hate that dog though :D
I gots a webcomic! http://yetanothercomic.com
Absolutely...that dog was a punk ass. Always laughing at me and ridiculing me. A long time ago I had the 3 in one game...Mario Bros, Duck Hunt, and Wold Class Track Meet.....that's the one with the running pad. And I too understand the pain of having the duck hunt game, and that being the only game you can play with the gun...until I discovered Hogan's Alley.

Speaking of Nostalgia..I still have my Sega Genesis with the Sega Cd system that fit onto the bottom of the Sega and still have a crap load of games for it...Both Sherlock Holmes games, Ground Zero Texas, the original Night Trap game (the one that Congress ended up going back and had edited because they felt it promoted violence towards women)....

I haven't seen all of Connery's movies... This one is escaping me... I want to say The Rock, but it doesn't look right for that... So what movie is that???
