Favorite actors in the Tex games?
I think each Tex game had remarkable actors in it, that did a great job.
To me Chris Jones is the one who tops everyone, but we all know Chris is a master of arts, don´t we
The non professional or semi professional actors all did a great job in helping to create characters that you care about. But how about your preferences when it comes to the big names?
I think my top position when it comes to big names has to be shared by Michael York as J. Saint Gideon and Kevin McCarthy as Gordon Fitzpatrick. They both completely blow me away each time I play the games ( No, they´re not the only ones of course
)
The funny thing about Mc Carthy is the following thing: When i was a small boy, I loved to secretly watch old horrorfilms from the 30s till 60s. One of the films that scared the heck out of me when i was small was the original invasion of the body snatchers starring Kevin Mc Carthy.
So when i bought the pandora directive in 96 and started it, i immediately recognised him and i was very pleased, because he is great. In the game ( after Tex informs Fitzpatrick about Malloys death, and the dialogue between Tex and Fitzpatrick is done) Tex says something like , There´s something about Fitzpatrick that makes me completely trust him , even though i probably shouldnt´- That was funny because that was one on one what I thought, he just had that old gentleman charme, that you just had to trust. ( By the way i felt a bit like that about Gideon as well, and even though he was planning some not so nice things, he wasn´t really a bad guy in the actual sense, especially therefore i think the ending of overseer - the plotline from the past- was really touching)
Plus i really like the charismatic appearance of both York and Mc Carthy.
But beside that there were quite a lot of other great big names.
I didn´t know Richard Norton before Overseer, a friend of mine who played overseer as well recognized him from some martial art films, but since I don´t watch that type of films i wasn´t familiar with him, but I think he was one hell of a evil guy, very charismatic as well.
Oh and Barry Corbin was absolutely stunning as well, another great bad guy. I don´t know but everytime he was on the screen, I had this really ungood feeling in my stommach ( just like Tex), especially the dialogue with him, after finding the first box.
Concerning Barry Corbin: I wrote a classic review on pandora recently, and I did some research on the IMDB for the actors section in that article. On IMDB i read that Corbin was in No country for old men and in the valley of elah as well. I haven´t seen the films yet but hey that´s impressing, great to hear. Did anyone of you see him in there? On the IMDB his name comes on spot 6 of the actors in the valley of elah. So i guess that means his role wasn´t just a short appearance.
There are other known actors in the games, but i guess these ones are my favorites ,even though I´m pretty sure i forgot someone of my favorites list right now

Of course C.J. I'll have to repost in this Thread after I replay the games again so I can get a Refresher of the Characters...
Off the top of my head and memory there is Barry Corbin and Tanya Roberts, they were awesome in Pandora... But I'll come back with an updated list in a few days after I've played the 3 games a bit...

I think Barry Corbin's Jackson Cross is the greatest villain of all time.
I Saw No Country for Old Men (twice) and The Valley of Elah. It was great to see Barry again. His characters were quite different than Jackson Cross and the roles weren't as central. But it was still great to see the ol' guy. One of my all time favorites.

Can't forget James Earl Jones' voice over either... That man's voice is awesome...

Michael York tossing the lighter. That was an awesome, memorable moment for me, really laden with foreboding and emotion and a true sense of doom and despair and defeat.
I shan't be needing it anymore...

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
Richard Norton made for the most perfect hitman role ever. He's got the look and acting chops and not to mention the physical abilities to go with the role. If you haven't seen any of his martial arts work, you really should check him out. He's very, very, very talented with his martial arts combined with acting.
I guess one of my favorites from all the games is Monique Lanier as Wanda Peck from CAPRICORN. The scenes between her and Tex were fun to watch. Not to mention the fact that she is absolutely beautiful. You guys should go to cdbaby.com and search for her name...she has a cd that she made..she plays the piano...and it's great!! Very soothing music...good for the soul.

"Some men aren’t looking for anything logical. They can’t be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.”
I'll have to say Chris, as the main character, he sets the dynamic for all the other actors/actresses to support and bring us into the story.
After that Tanya Roberts, since I had a crush on her in my youth (Charlie's Angels was still on TV).
At the same time, I can not think of a least favorite actor. They were all great.

A sansGUI interface is one that does not have the small features called "Windows". The term comes from the French word sans, meaning "without".
SansGUI's are more typically used in Unix-like Operating Systems. The conventional wisdom is that a GUI (Grapical User Interface) help guide the casual computer user to perform routine tasks with Point and Click simplicity. SansGUI's have acquired considerable acceptance for users accustomed to the CLI (Command Line Interface).

You should check out Tanya in Sheena and in Beastmaster... Both good movies...
