still life

Recently played through still life. It was from the same company that produced the syberia games and was a quality adventure. If syberia wasn't your thing then dont let that put you off. Still life might use the same engine but it is a gritty detective game that jumps between two protagonists, one in modern day chicago and her grandfather in 1920s prague. The game was very enjoyable but the ending left you hanging a bit. Maybe a sequel was planned but this doesnt look likely since the developer has shut up shop. Anyways its worth a look if you like your adventures with a detective slant. However be warned there are some disturbing scenes....the game revolves around serial killings....so maybe not for everyone.
Sam is pronto a real word?
I saw it in the shops last week and thanks to hearing about it from a few people (i think it was on this board or the old one actually), i snatched it right away (along with a lucky copy i found of "Beyond Good and Evil").

I'll definitely be playing it once two things happen.

a) my new fan arrives for my video card (damn thing overheats on the desktop atm)

b)My mate wants to play through it so it will have to wait till we finish "The 11th Hour".

I remember playing the demo of Post Mortem ages ago and enjoying it for what it was. Hopefully Still Life doesn't dissapoint.
I'm excited about buying this title. I just recently procured a copy of Grim Fandango off of ebay; I'm still waiting for it to arrive, though. Yes, I haven't played Grim Fandango yet, to my own shock and awe. But, I have high hopes for Still Life. Whilst I get variagated opinions about Still Life, I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

Grim Fandango is really a great experience. A friend of mine who i haven't seen in 2 years has my copy. I really need to make contact to get it back ^^
I used to bug my borther to chum back up with his mate who had had not seen in years just so we could play Full Throttle again... and then Annie was able to supply me with a copy!

Angel from heaven she is!

Yeah, i should just probably buy another copy. First thing's first though. I need to get a new copy of Under a Killing Moon from somewhere cause the one i bought off ebay turned out to be borked. It's like the CDs have corroded or something. :/
I might have an extra copy of UAKM laying around somewhere, AV.

I hope it turns up soon, maybe the mail system is just being a pain.
I never did finish Grim fandango then I made the stupid mistake of selling it (I would sell old games sometimes to be able to buy new games back then). But I bought the discs again cheap, second-hand at a store some time ago.
