Since You Guys Don't Know, This is What I do...

I wanted to share with you guys just what it is I do here in Las Vegas. :)

The above video is my band, Hang 'em High playing at The Palms Casino last October. I've been singing lead vocals with these guys since October of 06 and have had nothing but the best time. We're pushing forward pretty hard right now looking for some support.

Here's something I just do for fun... every now and then I'll do covers for YouTube. People seem to like them:

Wow those are both really cool. What are your influences?

I used to play drums in a rock band here in the UK. We played stuff by Love/Hate, Black Crowes, Gun and Skid Row to name a few. G'N'R was banned.

Great name for a band. Was that taken from and/or have any reference to the Clint Eastwood movie of the same name?

my main 2 influences are actually Muse and AFI. It doesn't necessarily show up in our band since the music is more Rock & Roll inclined, but it's there none the less.

We don't do any covers, we're an all original band. So naturally since we're not signed yet that also means we're a poor band. haha :)

Covers make you money, Original makes you jack....until you're supported!
Thanks Jim. That wasn't our immediate thoughts when it came to choosing the name. It was merely something that came to mind when we were making a band name list. It's actually not even the one we voted on. The one we voted on we all weren't fond of. Strange it won the vote. So the next day after we chose a name I just said to everyone, wanna be called Hang 'em High instead? And we were all very quick to say yes! hehe :)
Muse and AFI... I was just thinking, the combination of those two would be utter awesomeness! Knights of Cydonia is one of my absolute fav tracks these days. Anyway, I see what you mean about not totally being like either one... there is a certain uniqueness there. Good stuff!

VERY, VERY, VERY GOOD!! I think your vocals are pretty damn kick ass. I think you guys are pretty rockin...I saw your acoustic version of Hallelujah as well....very well done.

Oh, and by the way...don't fear the cover songs...embrace them! lol

:lol: ...nah, not really. I have one of those friends that kidnaps me and subjects me to listening sessions whenever he discovers a new band. Sometimes I end up liking them... sometimes I don't. In this case it was pretty good.

Gotcha....I have people on my route that listen to different stuff and I'm always asking them "Hey, who should I go check out now?" I just love music.
