Like Tex, i'll take a new Sam and Max game anyway i can get it. God i have too many fond memories of that wacky Dog and Rabbit duo.
The only thing I can say about this is please, oh god please, don't get my hopes up for another version, and then drive them into the ground again. There is nothing in the world more heartbreaking then a game cancellation on a game that you spent night and day following every day for a year. This wasn't the one I'm speaking of ... (Fear Effect ... a mortal stab wound into my soul ... I mean the game was basically finished!!!!) but the track record of two games being announced and then slashed has to make one very leery of the current efforts. For now, my hopes are high .. Long live Sam & Max, and long live the current development cycle.

Sweet! Now all we need is Tim Schafer to stop monkeying around with the X-box and get to work on Full Throttle 2.
I sure hope we will see this game. Been waiting a long time for this one too.
http://www.telltalegames.com are the guys responsible for the new samnmax stuff. Check ou their recently released adventure game Bone.
Sam is pronto a real word?
They're the guys doing Bone?

I suddenly got even more excited over this new Sam and Max game ^^

Yep, the folks who started Telltale are ex-LucasArts employees who left the company after the project they were working on was cancelled...

That project being Sam & Max: Freelance Police. So it's only fitting that Telltale be the company that brings Sam & Max back... again!
It's really a disappointment that "Free-Lance Police", won't be the game they're releasing. Starting from scratch means it'll take a long while. I was really looking forward the the last game. But I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. I'll be able to bear the wait, as long as their will be some fruition to it all. If there isn't, life will go on, but you know announced developments just haven't got me excited since the last Fear Effect was canceled. I always seem to have this dejected "Yeah, we'll see ..." attitude. I know, it's bad.

It's nice to hear another TellTale company finally got the rights from LucasArt. I am looking forward to it.

btw-are there any new information about Beneath the Steel Sky 2?
But the neat thing about starting over is that they can do it the way they (and most likely we would) want it to be, without too much of a "corporate overlord" (a la M$ with Access) telling them what to do and what not to do.
It's really great to hear that Sam & Max 2 might become a reality sometime and I'll be looking forward to see it. I really enjoyed the game and I loved the humour in it. I'm sure TellTale will do a great job reviving this game :)

Btw ... have you tried playing TellTale's Texas Hold'em game? Now that's fun if you're into playing poker. There are a lot of nice cocky comments from the players which can have you amused a long time ;)

Beneath A Steel Sky 2 is put on hold while Revolution work on Broken Sword 4 which will be released in less than a year.

Telltale released the first episode of Bone just six months after they started working on it, so S&M2 doesn't have to be a long wait. Not the first ep anyway.
