I've noticed something funny over the years that struck me once again this week. The board is pretty lively with general topics and random discussions while waiting for news updates, especially after several months of silence. In counterpart, it considerably quiets down each time we get an encouraging update such as the exciting news we got this week, even if it's non-Tex related.
Which reminds me of this great quote from the movie Le Mans: "When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting."

Hmmm.....could be.
I notice sometimes that the board can operate in spurts. A few days of flurry, and then quiet. Then the quiet gets so long....and then someone has to break it.
Also I've noticed that if someone says something EXTRA stupid, that can shut down the board for a bit too, as if we're all sitting in our respective corners saying, "you say something", "No you", "I'm not pouring any fuel on that idiotic statement". etc.
