So I was playing through Portal again the other day. If you've played it, you know it's good stuff. If you've not, you've missed out on one of the most excellent, albeit short, first-person platform puzzle games ever made. And it's filled to the brim with dark sarcastic humor. And an insane mainframe AI. You can't go wrong with insane mainframe AI's...
Anyway. So I was playing through it and I stumbled into one of those deserted office areas. I look at the keyboard on one of the desks, and it has blank keys. Probably because having keys on a keyboard that small would be pointless, what with the graphics and all. So it's a blank keyboard. But it's coloured! Yes. The colours are strange, because they form a pattern of nine letters! And lo! Fred did write down the letters, and yea, unto the anagram generator he did feed them!
The letters that were marked on the keyboards in Portal were A, S, D, E, R, I, P, H and N.
So I chucked them into the anagram generator, and got several new phrases. Ripe Hands, for instance.
But the one that really got me chuckling, the one I could feel some joker at Valve had inserted as an easter egg...
Was the phrase 'Hard Penis'.
