Tex Murphy in Second Life

I don't know how many of you have used/seen Second Life, but basically it's a 3D world in which you can buy/sell land and create/buy/sell content such as houses, jewellery etc.

I co-run a Doctor Who themed land in Second Life and I've just started experimenting with building some Tex Murphy items such as Tex's office. Since I only started yesterday, the results aren't exactly mind-blowing. I've just got the basic room layout and the main door so far:

You may have only started yesterday, but that corner of the office and the door look very good...
Keep up the good work and let us know how your project turns out...

I'm not a second life user myself but post more pics when they're done - they look good - how cool would it be to walk around tex's office again and to find other fans sitting at the bar in Louie's diner....

That's pretty neat. Although, First Life is currently taking up enough of my time already.
Wow. I didn't even know there was a Doctor Who themed world in this game, much less, maybe in the future, Tex Murphy. If I ever find out how to look up different worlds that I may be interested in, I will probably be spending quite a bit of time in both.
I have no idea about any of it. Got a link that might clarify?

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
This is the "official" line on SL:

Basically it's a series of thousands of 65k square meter sims (simulators) joined together in a grid that you can explore and chat to other people exploring the same place. Kind of like World of Warcraft except it's an open platform - you can just hang out in clubs or buy land and build stuff.

To find the Doctor Who place, once logged in you click on "Search" at the bottom, then go to the "Places" tab in the box that comes up. Type in "Doctor Who" and we're (usually) top of the list: The Doctor Who Experience and Cardiff
If you really have time, see if you can organise to get a mock up of chandler avenue going ;)
