The Godfather Trillogy Restoration.

New 4k tvs, and discs.

Joy.
Indeed. We have a few CineAlta 4k Digital Cinemas here and I must say the image quality is stunning. I've already seen Wall-E but cannot wait to see it again in 4k. I also saw the new Indiana Jones film in 4k and it was bloody awesome.

Mind you I can almost guarantee the jump between 1080p and 4k will not be as big as people think, well, at least not on smaller televisions. You really need a large TV to really take advantage of it. Where as the difference between DVD and HD is huge in my opinion, even on smaller TVs.

I've always heard good things about the Godfater... how amazing it is and all. I have actually never scene it...

I know, most of you are thinking, what rock have you been living under?
I just never got around to it I guess. Always wanted to see it though. Looks like I'll have a chance.

You know what is the most ironic thing about it???
I'm Italian... go figure =P

Hey Matt,
this is hard to belive, but you are evidence of "all is possible"

2 all:
What do you think about Sopranos? They get my heart, and nailed me to TV.
I'm one of the very rare fans who actually consider Godfather Part 3 to be just as captivating and important as the first 2 films. With the exception of Sofia Copola's below par acting and the love story between the two cousins, it was brilliant. I loved it, especially the climactic theatre sequence in the end where Michael gives out an almighty scream which is muted. Marvellous piece of cinema.

Also, here's a bit of trivia for you:

Which word is NEVER used in Godfather Part 1?

Mafia.

This was no accident, before making the movie, Francis Ford Copola agreed not to use this term in the film to reduce racial stereotyping of Italo-Americans living in New York.
Sadly i didn't get into the Sopranos. Some Italian I am.

I was an x-files fan =P
Matt
Bah, for every good Sopranos episode there were 3 with silly stereotypes and questionable writing.

Simpsons and X Files on Sunday were the best damn prime time tv has ever had, and that's that!
Part-Time Nomad
I always preferred Futurama over Simpsons. Before the words heresy and blasphemy is thrown about, let me remind you that preferring something over something else does not imply that I think one is better than the other.

Because, as you all know, Spaceghost: Coast to Coast is the pinnacle of animated television entertainment!
