What trouble did you have with Roswell???

I'm not completely sure where you're at in the game since you downloaded saved games... Have you tried calling everyone and talking to them about everything??? I think I know the fax you are referring to and if I'm not mistaken you need to talk to the Reporter Lady, can't think of her name right now, Lucia Pernial I think, spelling might be wrong though... You can't get the Fax until you go back and get something for her from the NSA at the Autotech building... Should be a file that she wants...
Depending on the Saved game data, you might already have some of the items I'm speaking of... You'll also need to talk to Mac Malden and get him to get you access to the Morgue so you can get Norton's Key and Security Card...

So many possibilities since I don't know exactly what's been done...


I'd much rather help you get through Roswell than guess about where a Saved game that you downloaded as you...


You're first task in Roswell is to get everything you need to get rid of the Alien... Then you'll have all the time you need to look around and gather what you need... Has that been your problem, you can't get rid of the Alien??? I'd be more than happy to help you with that...

Willing to go back and attempt the alien again. I know the confusion it causes when one downloads a saved game. My problem with things on the PC that need to be done rapdily is getting my hands to move fast enough on the keyboard as arthritic as they are. But will give it a try again if you care to show me the way.

Think we need to decide just where I am at re the alien also because I do not follow WTs but just wander around and try to solve my own way about.
Quick question that I've wondered about for years actually - but is the alien actually on a timer? Or does it trigger on a completion of a certain number of things Tex can do? Like, for instance, will it attack if you go around picking up random objects and not doing what needs to be done to defeat it?

Or is it a simple timer?

If so, what's the time?

You can pick up more than what's needed, but I think that there is a limit of objects you can pick up before it attacks... I don't think it's a timer, because I've left Tex standing in a Hallway while I've taken the dog out and stuff before beating the Alien and it still never attacked...

But I've also picked up more than what was needed, but not everything...

Either that or there is a Limit to the Amount of Rooms you can enter... If you go in and out of the rooms too many times, then the Alien attacks... That could be the trigger...



pdcagirl, as for moving fast enough, the only place you really need to move fast is in the Generator room, after the Alien has fed off its energy...

Best course of action is to just go through, grab what you need and take care of the Alien, then you'll have the freedom of time to move around...

Enter the complex and head for the Sealed Dorm Room... Use the shovel to get inside... Grab the CD that is on the Floor near the door... The CD Player is in one of the Cabinets along where the Bunks are... Go to where the Containment Pod is stored in the one cabinet along the floor on the right side of the bunks... I can't remember how many cabinets back the CD player or Containment Pod is, without going back through the game...
Go ahead and use the Scrap of Paper from Malloy to open the Pod, now that's done...
Head to the Mess Hall, go to the kitchen and grab the Pot out of the cabinet and the Icepick out of the Freezer... You can turn on the Stove while you're here too if you want... If you feel better turning it on when you are about to use it then just wait...
Go to the Storage room where the Diesel Fuel is and use the Icepick to make a hole, then use the pot to collect the fuel... Go back to the Mess Hall and use the Pot on the Stove... If you turn the stove off after you take the pot back, you get extra points...
Now go to the other storage room and get the Spark Plugs...
Now you're off to the Generator Room... Open the door and put the Spark Plug in, open the cap and dump the fuel in, then Prime the Pump on the other side of the Generator... Now start it up and leave the room... Wait in the hallway until Tex says what he says, while waiting highlight the Containment Pod in your inventory so that you're ready with it... As soon as you enter the room and see the Alien, click on the USE button and then click on the Alien...

Should be the basic straight away plan to taking care of the Alien... Now you can just stroll around and take your time...


Edited * I did indeed forget about the CD and CD Player... You need that to figure out that the Containment Pod needs to be used on the Alien... You also need the Info about it going into its vulnerable stage after feeding off of energy... But that information is now included above...

you have left out the cd disk on the floor & then get cd player & combine them both, get the containment unit first as soon as you combine the cd you will hear the alien coming close. I think it's the cd combined that sets the timer.

i leave combing the container unit with the paper until I started the generator outside the generator room, that way you have done all that's need to be done

I guess all the combining can be left until you are just about ready to start the Generator... I just normally combine things as I get them, if I know they need to be combined... That way they are ready when I need them and I don't accidentally forget later...

Best of luck... The as I said above the only place you really need speed is in the Generator Room... Just avoid picking up unneeded things at this time and try not to go in and out of the rooms anymore than you need to...

Am in second storage room trying to collect diesel fuel. What is the secret here. Soon as I puncture the drum, can't get the pot there fast enough to catch any oil and it will not place after puncture is made. Try combining - does not work. Tried puncturing different place - does not work; tried placing pot first but that seems to be no place to do that.

What am I missing here? Guess I am not thinking 'outside the box' :?
A ha! Stumbled on solution so off to the Generator Room!
The fuel doesn't disappear after you make the hole, so you have all the time in the world to put the pot there... At least I've never had the fuel disappear...

I hope you heated the Fuel before trying to put it in the Generator...


You got the Spark Plug and watched the CD and all right???

I heated the fuel, got the spark plugs, watched the CD and am now inside the generator room looking for places to put spark plugs and fuel. But I understood Tex does not get attacked until after he starts generator and exits the room, says something and re-enters the room where containment pod is used.

I can't do anything to the generator re fuel and spark plugs becaused Tex keeps getting killed.

Gone astray somewhere. Suggestions?
How many times did you go in and out of the rooms??? I think that there is a set number of times you can go in and out of the rooms before the Alien attacks...

But plumgas could be right about the timer beginning when you watch the CD... But I believe the Alien begins moving before you watch the CD, which is why I believe it to be a set number of moves you can make...

The spark plug goes in the panel that is in between the Start button and the Fuel tank... The fuel tank is on the left side of the Generator, then moving to the right you come to the panel for the Spark Plug, then the panel with the Start button and on the ride side is the Prime handle, you have to prime it once you've put the fuel in it...
