CHINESE DEMOCRACY!!!

At 5:00AM EST this morning, the title track to the band's finally forthcoming album 'Chinese Democracy' officially hit airwaves and the interwebs. The album itself will be available exclusively at Best Buy beginning November 23. Yes, really. So pop open a Dr. Pepper (your next one is on the house), tell the FBI to simmer down and join us as we welcome GNR to the 21st century.

Song seems alright. I want to hear the rest =)

How come no one has posted a Thread for AC/DC's new album {Black Ice}??? It's been over 8 years since they've done anything...

The thing is groups like Metallica, AC/DC, and GNR wait to see if the new bands can carry the weight of the industry, once they see they can't they have an obligation to make a come Album to keep the industry alive... All 3 of them have created a new album which they haven't done in nearly a decade... Why??? Out of Obligation to the Genre...

Difference between Metallica and AC/DC and GNR is that Metallica and AC/DC didn't put anything out because they chose not to. They only recently started working on them within the last year and half and put them out after a respectable amount of time.

GNR on the other hand have been working on this for the entire last decade. Its been axel's stubborness , lack of work ethic, and just plain stupidity that this took so long.

Hopefully it is worth the wait.

You should start the ACDC Thread hehe.
Ironically, there are actually a few songs on the ACDC album that don't sound like ACDC songs. I'm so used to all their songs sounding the same. I don't mean that as a bad thing either. Why fix what ain't broke. They all catchy even though they are similar.

Well then the producers shouldn't even have bothered with it then... Just because he was "Somebody" in the 80s and part of the 90s doesn't mean they had to wait for him like this, they should have closed up shop on him after 3 years at most... I have no respect for people that go and act like that just because they feel they can...

I think Axel was actually putting up the money himself. I think the record companies pulled the plug a long time ago, so he started paying out of his own pocket.

After it was done, he went to a publisher to put out the record.

They weren't the only ones that left... He is the only original member as far as I know. His band left him to form velvet revolver.

There are quite a few stories back in the day of him cancelling concerts after the crowd showed up. There is a famous incident from the early 90s in Montreal. James from Metallica was hurt in a pyro accident and Axel, instead of going and playing early to calm the crowd, decided to get drunk, yelled at the crowd because he said his sound was crap and then walked off stage...

There was a riot in the city because of that with people flipping and burning cars.

Go Axel.
Hopefully the album was worth the wait.
