Interesting article on Mirrors Edge...
Looks good, even if you need a bucket sitting nearby just in case:

I don't think it's going to be that bad to make people vomit... Maybe headaches with the fast paced scenes flying by, but no vomit...
I wanna play it... I think this game is gonna be good... I wish they had some video of the play action to give us a taste...

Game came out last week, picked it up on thursday. Finished it off after work friday. Too damn short, in my opinion, and the default bloom settings are way too high. But adjust the glare down a bit, and take some time to look around each level, and the game is well and truly fun!!
Sad that the story aspect seemed to have undergone a similar process:
Developer A: Here's a neat setting, let's go with this story of runners who send packages around, to transport top secret information!
Developer B: Yeah, that's pretty cool! Let's go with that.
Two months pass. They all know the story inside out.
Developer C: Hey guys? What if this happened during our story?
Developer A & B: AWW SWEET!!
Original story gets scrapped, new story gets superimposed on ruins of the old story.
Old story barely makes an appearance as a minor backstory, like, mentioned in the friggin' manual or something.
I dunno, I just feel that the story wasn't what it was originally intended to be, and when they changed it, they forgot that everybody who buys the game, doesn't know the original story like the developers did, and so missed out on a few things. It made the game that much less rich an experience.
But, that being said, the gameplay is top notch, it works, and you don't feel half as bad playing it as you do watching, say, a demo or a video.
The Fredster gives it a strong, solid 4. (Out of 6, like the dice)

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
Oh kewl it's already out... I don't get to the game stores as much as I use to... I'll get it when I get back from Florida...
So is it true like the article says Fred??? Did you vomit???

Na, that's for people who get motion sickness real easy. Of course, it's less of a chance to get motion sickness when you're playing.
Sort of like not getting carsick when you're the one driving, y'know?
