Homer simpson for King!!!!!!!!!!!
The Under a Killing Moon novel is always like that I'm sorry to say. I don't see it changing soon :( It seems strange that Pandora Directive can be obtained for about £3 (how much I paid for it) but Under a Killing Moon is always sky-high in pricing.

If you like I or someone else can pass on an electronic version though that kind members here put together. Same for the other 2 books too for anyone that has difficulty getting them. Just PM me your email address.

Anyway, glad that you enjoyed the book. It is very good! Aaron is an excellent writer :D

Whoa Playbub, you must send me the link and info about buying Overseer, cause the only novel done on that was by our very own JTOG!
Mucho interesting! Unless I've misunderstood you and you bought the game there.

Yep, I love Powells bookstore. That place is HUGE!!! I managed to pick up some Pandora's there a few years ago. No UAKM's though. I think Seattle and Portland used book dealers know how rare it is, and snipe them out. I got a UAKM novel at half price books one day, I nearly soiled myself finding it in a box of paperbacks ready to be shelved. I kept waiting for someone to say, oh, that's a mistake, that book is $75.00.
Needless to say, I beat feet pretty quickly to the cashier and out of the store, I felt like Gollum after finding the "precious".

Oh, speaking of JTOG, nice catch you got there on Ebay not too long ago. I was watching it, wasn't about to drive up the bid since it was quite the steal. Maybe you'll let me get the next one????
Sure thing, Jen. I guess I'm just greedy by nature. In fact, there's one on Ebay right now, but it has a reserve price attached to it.

BTW, bought a new bookcase the other day. If I ever put the thing together I plan on using it for my Tex Murphy collection. Then, as suggested by some young woman I know (sound familiar?), I will take a pic and put it up for viewing.

A while ago I did a search on a few computer game based books at half.com. The results are rather interesting. Wing Commander novels range from .75 to 5.95 dollars. Pandora Directive goes for six. Under a Killing Moon - 44.90!

I got UAKM novel for 1 euro (ebay), but unfortunatelly in german language :)
If anybody wants to polish his german, and wants a UAKM novel,I recommend searching in ebay.de :)
Good idea, greenender!
Besides English and German, both novels are available in French. Sometimes amazon.com will have them for sale (the French connection, that is).

Wing Commander novels... just... the one I read was pretty heinous. I skimmed through Price of Freedom after that and almost went blind.

Of course, nothing can ever compare to the horror that was Interbellum.

Still haven't read any of the Tex books, but I keep hearing the attention to detail is something else again.
I've only read Pandora Directive so far. I've got Under A Killing Moon electronically but never found time to sit and read it.
The Pandora Directive novel is a great read. Really great writing and of course you get to experience lots more of Tex's usual humour. I quite like first person perspective stories too so thats a plus :D
I think I have a Gabriel Knight novel too, for the first one, but not read it yet. I'd like the second Gabriel Knight novel actially.

Have both the Gabriel Knight novels. Adequately written, but my brain is schizophrenic in switching my perception between the artistic rendering of Knight and the Dean Erickson version.
Of the two Tex books, I think UAKM was the better read. My opinion.

I find it hard to pinpoint which was better. There were both so good.

Although I was very surprised at the cinematic feel I got from the UAKM... and even though it was very different from the game, I could visualise every little nook and cranny of the world as if it were a film.
