Happy birthday everyone

Rather than go through all those topics I thought I would express my hopes for your happy days here.

PROOF!! That you are indeed not a post-hoarder!

Also, you kill zombies good. Which me must repeat soon. For zombies are many and soak up shotgun shells with glee!

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
You'll run out of bullets before you're through. And then they shall feast.

Online games with people from the Tex community - sounds like a great plan!

I meant to hook up with Cub and play some Mario Kart Racing on the Wii, but I haven't set up an online account with my Wii yet...

But it's kewl playing with people online, but even better if you are playing with friends and people you know...

Just got too much going on... The only one to touch the Wii in my house is my Son... I haven't messed with it since November...

Someone should make a Tex Murphy level on Little Big Planet for PS3 and we can team up together on it
I'm not very good at making levels myself :? .

(Note: I find online multiplay addictive so I wouldn't be able to hang out much but I would join a few runs)

That would be neat a Multi Player PI game... Spread out over a huge city, everyone has their own districts so to speak, everyone investigates their own cases, but sometimes you need to team up with other PIs because your cases overlap one another or at least strike a deal so you can look around their district... And just like in Pandora you can be a Good PI or a Bad PI or just stick to the middle ground... If you choose to be a Bad PI it is less likely that other PIs will work with you so therefore you may be forced to drop cases and loose money because you couldn't get the clues or evidence you needed from another PI...
And if you try to investigate in someone else's area without striking a deal and get caught you have to pay that player a fine or something...
There could be all kinds of traits to work on, Charisma, Stealth, Negotiation, Intelligence, etc...

It would be a rather complex game, with all the different cases and the amount of different AIs that would be needed, but I think it would certainly be a popular game...

If you wanted to you could do a basic quirky version of the above with Little Big Planet (no programming required). The levels are quite short so each could be a short case, and its totally possible to split the level into 2 paths using doors that can only be opened from 1 side, steep tunnels, trapdoors etc. for the good vs bad. You can use stickers as triggers for events so you could make a money ticket for use as fines. I've played levels made by others set in cities (complete with traffic, buildings, petrol station, benches, statue, subway, a helicopter etc.). You can set the mood of the level with ambient lighting etc. (there is a popular Dead Space themed level that uses ambient lighting a lot:

Sure its really nowhere near a full-blown PI MMORPG though.
