Tex the Movie ...
God forbid we couldn't get Chris, I'd have to go with David Duchovny. I believe he can pull off Tex. Villain, Tim Curry. Definately Tim Curry. Chelsea... That one's a tough one. She has to be somewhat hot, but still can act... Eileen Brennan. J/K. Renee Russo. Nilo, Jack Nicholson. Sarcastic, funny, and can be very cruel sometimes, just like our buddy Nilo. Clint... Sheesh... I would say Telly Savalas, but he's dead... Dennis Franz. Louie, as said before, would have to be Ed "Al Bundy" O'Neill. Let's face it. He is the greatest.
For Nilo, there's no reason the original actor (I don't kow his name) could continue the role, because age isn't an issue. However, I think it is fairly obvious who else could play Nilo's part. That is Cheech Marin (don't know if I'm spelling that right.)
Cheech goes back a long way with the Cheech and Chong comedy routine. My impression, when I first saw Nilo was that he was a Cheech and Chong spin-off. I would wager that the actor that played Nilo in PD was strongly influenced by Cheech Marin.

Cheech as Nilo would be classic!
Bruce Willis could certainly pull off Tex's mannerisms but how about this suggestion out of nowhere: Ralph Fiennes. He's tall and has that Tex look about him, I'm just not sure if he could act it properly. I guess Chris Jones just can't be duplicated.

Something just occured to me, today. I was walking along, minding my own business, when suddenly I thought about Firefly and Serenity. For all of those not...IN THE KNOW!...Firefly being the sci-fi/western television series from Joss Whedon, and Serenity the new movie based off of it.
The thing that was brought to my attention by my left brain was that all of the actors from the show are in the movie. All of the leads reprise their roles, all of the supporting actors reprise their roles.
So, at that point I shut off my brain and plugged it into a nearby outlet.
Thirty minutes later, and raring to go, I thought about what my brain was telling me. There's this tv show that lasted one season and was canceled, and somehow a guy who, though well known in television, has never directed a feature film before gets everybody back.
The point is this. Perhaps it's possible to bring back the cast of the video game for the movie? I mean...if someone can convince producers that Ben Affleck can act, I'm sure there's a place for Chris Jones out there somewhere.

Earlier today I decided that Joe Pantaliano would make a great Nilo.
I also decided how the first Tex Murphy movie would start, for the beginning of the UaKM storyline.
Exterior - City Skyline - Day
Tex (narration)
There's always been this dream for a utopian society. That one day we would all be enlightened and live in prosperity and peace. That we would progress past our social prejiduce.
Action
The city blows up in a nuclear explosion, than the picture freezes.
Tex (narration)
It never hurts to dream.
Then the intro credits would roll along with a montage of nuke explosions, while in the background the Rolling Stones song, "Time is on My Side" plays. I think that would be cool.

This is a little late, but you will also see sam ramies green car in all of his fils as well (the one that peters uncle was driving in the first one)Cubase wrote:Although in the meantime you can see Campbell in the new movie Sky High, he plays the coach. Small roll, yes, but it was better than his two extremely short cameos in both the Spiderman films (you will always see Bruce in a Sam Raimi film... along with Ted Raimi).
You can also see the car in the baackground in the quick and the dead (no that wasnt a mistake)
HAHA JOEY PANTS!!!!! sweetVracar wrote:Earlier today I decided that Joe Pantaliano would make a great Nilo.
