"V" - new TV serial

The ABC station started to televise new TV serial "V" (Visitors).
The first part (pilot) was 4.11. and the second part is scheduled on 11.11.
This is sci-fi theme serial, when extraterresilas with human face appers on Earth, with offer to help humans, but the real plan is littlebit different

It is remake of V from midle of 80s, and based on pilot I can say very good remake.
I watched original V and I was big fan, one of few in my country. So this is "must see" for mee.

I recommend watch you it, althroug you are not sci-fi fan.
I loved the original series and have it on DVD. This remake seems pretty good.

If you miss any of the new series, you can watch it on the internet here:

I gave it a try, it isn't worth giving up NCIS, which comes on the same time on CBS...

Why do you say it stands for Visitors??? In the original from the 80s V stood for Victory...

Though special effects and makeup have come a long way over almost 30 years, I have a feeling those of us who remember the original will think it is better than this new one...

No chance if you are not from USA.
I think, they check IP or something and they find out that I am not from US
Really??? ABC's website won't let you watch any of their episodes??? That's not kewl... Try writing them an email and ask them why... If they are going to broadcast in other countries, they should allow their website and web-episodes to be viewed by other countries...

I've been watching "V" since I watched the original in the 80s, and I like Elizabeth Mitchell from her days on Lost. I've also been watching FlashForward.

Now I saw 4. episode and I am very satisfied with it, the serie have good direction.

But now it is over, next episode will arrive as far as in march next year (I guess).
So I have to start to watch original version of V.
I'm a huge fan of the original 1983 miniseries (didn't much care for the 1985 series though).

I've seen all the new episodes of the new series and must say I'm pretty damn impressed so far. They moved fast (maybe too fast, but they were probably afraid of cancellation).

The writing and acting are wonderful and the show is pushing some political buttons as well. The aliens are promising "hope and change" and "universal health care."

BUT it's my understanding that the main creative crew behind the first four episodes and ABC have parted ways because ABC didn't like the "tone" of the show episodes that have yet to film.

My guess is that the show was going to get even crazier and imply that certain world leaders are perhaps infiltrated V's that were already on earth before the ships arrived.

Obama? That would take some serious balls and the studio execs would certainly put a stop to it.

When it comes back in March 2010, I'm betting the show is going to take a much more politically correct (and boring) tone. We'll see.
I've been so preoccupied this semester I haven't had the chance to see much of V. However, I have every intention within me to have a catch up marathon in three weeks.
ugh, i forgotten all about "V" the new TV show.:(

I went there and couldn't find episode list from 1-present but I thought ABC would replay episode 1 again before 2 but i guess they weren't doing the same way as Star Gate Universe on SyFy Channel.
Tuco I agree, the original first two series of V were great, quality of following TV serie was not so good, but fans like me, like it.

Ryan, if you are interested, you can see all episodes of new V on ABC web pages online, but you have to be from USA.
Righ now 9 episodes are out. Does anybody watch it?
Nope... Gave it a try, but it didn't tickle my fancy so I abandoned it...
