New Tex Project Speculation

Anyhow, one can only hope. Welcome again.

So let it be a TM FMV XP DVD trilogy, or TM FMV XP DVD SE, when more compatibility is needed.

TM FMV XP DVD SE?

WOW! OMG!

About the finances for a FMV game Aaron just needs to get funding from his new company.
It can be done.
Look at the OpenGL versions of DOOM for the proof.

Where can i keep something like that? :X
All,

It's the characters, not the FMV that make it great. Good writing will prevail, even in 1st person 3D.

If I ever win the lottery, AC and I will have a long chat, and there will be a new Tex (and I'll be a mutant somewhere in the game). Maybe we should all start a lottery pledge campaign for Tex. I'd even buy some shares in the new company!!
Hey Brimile! Good to see you here!

I whole-heartidly agree, Brimile. I find myself more caught up in the story than the gameplay; I am just lucky that the gameplay was also exceptional! I really long for a game to be as engaging as the Tex Murphy games once, and still are, for me!

Does anyone know if AC moved back to Salt Lake City? Did he ever leave? Is his new company pretty much the return of Access Software?

Matt
P.S. I'm new here.

Hello Matt and welcome! We are an international brotherhood dedicated to the preservation of Tex Murphy (no enbalming, please). Please post often and stick around for future updates.

Not sure where AC lives but he does have the rights to Tex Murphy. He is currently working at Indiebuilt making various games. While we do not have specifics regarding Tex Murphy's future, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting a little brighter. We have a saying: "Keep the faith!"

BTW, nice avatar.

I used to live in SLC and had been to Access Software several times. I was on a panel for them where they would ask how they could improve their software. I got a free copy of Overseer, a Tex Murphy t-shirt, and an Overseer poster out of it. I was also thinking of working with them and they even had my portfolio (3D graphic arts). But then I moved away and Microsoft swooped in took them away.

That's my son throwing rocks into a stream. Or, throwing ROCK, I should say since it's just one looped.

This lists some job openings for SLC, so I guess that answers my question.

Lists that this is basically still Access Software. Does anyone know Chris Jones' involvement in IB?

Heya!

As far as I could understand it said that Chris Jones was the CFM - which probably means something like Chief Financial Officer. I don't know if this applies to Indiegames however:)
