In a desperate attempt...

To get rid of my 666 post count, I add this thread to the General Discussion forum of the Unofficial Tex Murphy Web Site for your consideration.

So how's everyone doing? For those who celebrate Christmas (or a similar holiday of choice which involves food), is everyone recovering from the post-dinner comatose state? Anyone care to share any Holiday stories: embarrassing moments with family, presents they got, blackmail-ready things said and done under the influence of alcohol (cough*Cub*cough)? :mrgreen:

I tried singing on "The Beatles Rock Band" while my son played drums. However, I'm a baritone, so it wasn't pretty. Lot of fun, though: I knew all the words by heart.
Never too late for coffee, never too early for beer.
Nothing too special happened here... My son got pretty much everything he asked for and was quite happy with the day... Food was basic, Ham with assorted veggies and other sides, and assorted desserts...

Now my son is off to his mother's to celebrate with her... So nothing outrageously funny or anything... Just your basic family holiday...

How was your holiday??? And congrats on ridding yourself off your 666 post count... ;}

We had a quiet Christmas and some friends came over. As it usually happens, i ate waaaaay too much food... but am enjoying my 4 day weekend off from work for the holiday. :D

Nice to hear that everyone had pretty good holidays. Mine was fairly quiet and uneventful; mainly spent with my parents, as I'm an only child and all extended family lives way out of town. I did have to work the day after Christmas, but got through my shift without any complications and am off now through New Years (one of the perks I suppose of the economic situation is that the department cannot afford to give holiday pay, so they gave us regular paid time off).

I'll be heading to Las Vegas for New Years, and that should be interesting. It will be my first time there, and I'll be staying with a friend in the Luxor Pyramid hotel. I'm splurging a bit, but I suppose every once in a while, you have to do something a little crazy.
