Secret of Monkey Island: SE

Hey there guys and gals,

Just wondering if anyone has played the updated version of Monkey Island 1 yet? I'll finally be downloading it for my Xbox 360 next week and am looking forward to it, after having a quick play with it on a mates computer last night.

Any thoughts on it for those who have played it?

Aside from the really strange redesign of Guybrush, and the grog/lock puzzle being a little harder with the new interface, a great remake. The voice acting is fantastic, as are the new backgrounds. The hint system is neat and the ability to swap back and forth between the new and old version is great as well.

I didn't think the new look Guybrushed was too weird... looked like Guybrush from what I remember... Oh well... Looking forward to it next week :)

I have it and it's pretty good. I think they could have done a bit more in certain areas but for 10 bucks you can't ask for too much. The voice work is very good, however, it follows the flow of the original text which is a bit awkward at times.

What surprised me the most was that you actually need a decent rig to run the game well. I have a machine with a radeon x1300 card and the cursor movement seems sluggish on it in some areas.

If you liked the voice and art style of Curse, you will likely like this one. Although, of the two, I think Curse is the better game overall.
