Questions!

Mac Malden is a Captain? Cheif? What's his postition in the police station?

Which precinct is his police station?

Is it in Old or New San Fransisco?

and just what is up with his nose? ^^
In UAKM, he was a lieutenant.
I think it's in New SanFrancisco, the reason I believe so is based on the very nice city skyline outside his window. (but I could be wrong on that)
As far as precinct, not a clue.

Hope this helps!

The nose? It's an obvious attempt to distract us from the fact that as brothers Tex and Mac are the spitting image of each other!
And Mac's the younger sibling!!!!
Yep, Mac is a Lieutenant at the SFPD, which, judging by the establishing shot from Overseer, is located in New S.F.

The nose is a bit trickier. First, it's important to note the last name "Malden." In Martian Memorandum (Mac's first appearance) Tex's voiceover text says something along the lines of Mac being a decendant of an actor from the 20th century... Karl Malden (IMDB). Take a look at his pictures, and you'll see a certain nasal family resemblance. :) Karl Malden is maybe best known as the American Express "Don't leave home without it" guy, but he's also famous for being in a cop show in the 70's... called "The Streets of San Francisco." :)
Oh...I forgot. After Pandora.

What was the name of the vid-phone information service that Tex subscribes to?

The American Info Database, or something very close.

Here we go! Now we just need the American Info Database!
Who was the holo-date that Chelsee chose? And who were the holo-dates that Tex chose in the book?

I don't know about the book but Chelsee chose Clark Gable in the game.
"If you look to me for illumination, you better have a flashlight!"
*checks* In the book Tex requested:
"Well, I've always had this thing for Jayne Mansfield. And Brigitte Bardot comes in a close second." (and with the two-for-one deal he got both)

In the book Chelsea went with Cary Grant.
(Ruri_Ayanami from the old Tex Murphy ezboard).
