Recent Games
So, I'm sure we're all interested as to what everyone is playing nowadays. Yesterday I started on Pandora Directive again, and I just beat it like a month ago, but hey, it's great. I also finally got around to getting Syberia 2, and I'm sure it will be as delightful as the first. I've also decided to purchase Doom 3 with my new computer, mostly for marveling at playing something I had no chance of playing before, but also because a little fear factor couldn't hurt.
I also recently played through Missing, and it was also great. So, as I'm always interested in new games to play, and I'm sure others are, let's talk about what we're playing and what looks good coming up.

I've played Still Life, and it is a much better game that its predecessor, Post Mortem. I greatly enjoyed Still Life, but I found the ending to be a bit short. It even gives more than a hint to a possible sequel, but I fear it may be yet another series to fall by means of the "Overseer Syndrome" (company makes game, company acquired by new "parent" company, new "parent" company discontinues series).
What I'm waiting for is Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, & possibly Indigo Prophecy (formerly known as Fahrenheit), both of which are scheduled for September releases if memory serves.
And let's not forget Lionhead Games' The Movies Game. If you know what you're doing ('cause it may take a few mods), I feel you could make new Tex adventures with it (think Radio Theater, except with visual actors to go along with the voices, perfect for the Lombard Street Crew), or at least attempt to make movies of already existing adventures (like the UAKM novel, which "technically" has never been seen on film). It's scheduled for a November release.

Mainly playing through Pandora Directive again.
Bit of World of Warcraft every couple days.
Got a new strategy RPG called La Pucelle Tactics for my PS2. Seems fun so far.
Aside from that, a handful of PC games i'm knawing away at little by little. They include...
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Dawn of War
Doom 3
Fallout
Painkiller
Sherlock Holmes: Secret of the Silver Earing
Riven
Privateer
Out of this World
I want to cross a few of these off before i get stuck into all the other dosbox games i've been aquiring.

Hammer, your fears are well founded; in fact, they are correct. They won't be making another, and I do believe they, sadly, won't be making anymore games. I read something this at adventuregames.com
I could be wrong, but I did read it sometime last week, and I hope I don't have to start needing Jim's Geritol at 21.

Well, I've actually just finished SWAT 4, which is a very nice tactical shooter if I may say so myself. While not up to par with its revolutionary predecessor - SWAT 3, which of course had incredible AI that's still hard to reproduce even today, but still a worthy addition to my collection.
Some games I'll probably play in the next few weeks:
Still Life (got some good reviews, however my experiences with the Adventure Company have not been great in the past so I'm a bit skeptic regarding this one, will have to sleep on it)
Psychonauts (now here's a game I'd love to try, haven't really had the time to buy it and check it out but I must say it looks very promising indeed)
The Omega Stone (just got it recently from a friend and have heard good things about it, hopefully it's as good as its reputation)
The Tex Murphy series (haven't played these for a long time, something like a year or so, seems like forever, I suddenly feel a certain urge to replay them again, like a constant voice haunting me, telling me PLAY TEX... NOW...)
Broken Sword 3 (this is another game that I really want to play again, I had so much fun the first time, it'd be almost a sin not to replay it soon)
Brothers In Arms - Road to Hill 30 (this is another WWII shooter I've been wanting to play for a long time but didn't really have the time, looks very cool with its unique "squad management" feature)
Mafia (yes, it's my monthly dose of Mafia, the game that never ceases to amaze time and again, I've probably played this one like 20+ times in the last 3 years or so)

Finished Still Life. Interesting adventure game from the Microids team about a serial killer.
Game has stunning graphics and some tricky puzzles.

The Adventure Company is the distributor of this game, not the creator. This game is a product of the Microids team that produced Syberia and Syberia II.kress wrote:Still Life (got some good reviews, however my experiences with the Adventure Company have not been great in the past so I'm a bit skeptic regarding this one, will have to sleep on it)
