Monique Lanier

Just had a funny thought about something while reading UAKM.
Overseer has Lanier playing Wanda Peck, a CAPRICORN agent.
We know in UAKM that the Brotherhood for Purity destroyed the organisation and killed most of (maybe all) the agents. Then the Chameleon "shapeshifts" into the Countess to scam Tex into finding the statuette. Both Peck and the Countess are played by Monique Lanier.

What do you think? Is it just because AC and CJ liked Lanier so much they wanted her to come back even if she already appeared as another character? Is it a wink to the fans saying that the Chameleon took the appearance of Peck (not knowing the fact that Tex already spoke with her years ago) to set up Tex?

Well it's not the topic of the century but I find this interesting to think about...

I personally think AC and CJ have a weakness for blonds.

Think about it. Aaron's wife played Sandra Collins and the waitress in Overseer. Pretty blond.
Susanne Barnes as our beloved Cheslee pretty blonde.
Nicole Tindall as Emily/Luci Luv in Pandora. Young pretty blond.
Rebecca Brussard as Slyvia in Overseer another pretty blond.
and Monique Lanier as the Countess and Wanda Peck leggy blond.

It's a definite pattern.

haha that's a good point Sam... it's definitely a pattern.

Tanya Roberts wasn't blonde when they used her in Pandora...

...but she sure was pretty.
Amen to that, Doc.

What's the old saying? Is it Blonds have more fun or is it Guys have more fun with blonds? I always get that mixed up.

Haha. Maybe you are thinking of that Marilyn Monroe movie "Gentlemen Prefer Blonds" :D

That title is very misleading... because around blondes I have been anything but a gentle man. :P

Ah! That's what I like about this community. Truth always has a way of surfacing. Cub, you are a rascal, eh?

Yes, I saw the same pattern, Sam. But Regan was a competitor, an evenly matched advesary for Tex, Ching was the same. Dare I suggest window dressing versus serious character development? You'll notice that Jess wasn't a blonde in 3 Cards. Hmm....maybe I should reconsider my current color chice!
Now I didn't intend to start a whole "blonds versus brunettes" thing. Some of my best friends are blonds. :)

No no no, my wry observation was all in fun. I certainly meant nothing serious by it. I've been red, brown, and blonde (raven at some ill fated point never again!) and never felt like I was treated any differently based on that fact. I was just noticing....
Haha. Me too. I've run the gambit of hair colors too but in the end I settled back on black.

I agree. I was just noticing too. :) It's just fun theorizing about what AC and CJ were thinking when they made their games so long ago.

Years back my wife changed her hair color so often that, when people asked me about her, I would simply say: "She's a redhead...this week."

On a serious note, hair color should NEVER be the determining factor in choosing a date, mate, or significant other. We all know its a person's personality and the depth of their feelings for others that really matter. That is exactly the attraction on this site. Good people from the world over come here because of the true nature of brotherhood and comraderie(sp.?).
