Overviewer support

Hey guys, I really want to use Overviewer to rip the "Youhaveafax" sound effect for Tex's fax machine (I think it's pure awesome, and it's always made me giggle, I don't know why).

Is anyone able to rip the wav for me using overviewer?

I can't seem to rip anything, all the sounds and music just remain silent when played.

I don't remember how I ripped this sorry.

There's a special program that allows you to get the Sound files out of the Tex games, but I can't remember what it is... It's on this board somewhere, at least a link to it is anyway...

Baf, the program to get the sound files is Overviewer.

Ray, I just tried it myself on my UKAM disc and I can't find that music file. Unfortunately the files aren't labeled but I played through all the ones that Overviewer shows and none of them are the right one. Apparently not all music files are listed.

Hi Ray and welcome to this delightful message board. More importantly, welcome to our international community or loyal Tex fans.

Wonderful, thanks so much. It is now my "new email" sound.

Also thanks for the welcome guys, I'm a huge long-time fan of the game, just bought UAKM, Pandora and Overseer and have spent the last month finishing them all. Fantastic games with a lot of deep, hilarious and adventurous storylines.

Perhaps it's in the Pandora Directive or Overseer sounds?
I use the "Oh Boy Mail" sound clip from UAKM as my Text Message notification... :D

I have the sound effect in a wave file on my computer. I don't remember how I ripped it, but I used it for my e-mail program for the longest time. If you want it, send me a PM with your e-mail and I'll put it on my FTP for you to download. Hope this helps, cheers.

I just held my Cell up to the Speakers and had Tex look at the Mail on the floor in UAKM and just hit Record... Came out pretty good...

I have been replaying the game to get the sound but I can only remember the sound when the credit card arrived.
