Gaming: Heavy Rain

Has anyone played this game? I just rented it last night. The IGN review gave it *9.0* of 10.
Slow at first, but it's starting to pick up. Definitely adult-oriented, in that I don't mean "Leisure Suit Larry," but adult themes are part of it (a mystery in noir) as well as the gameplay.
The gameplay is an interesting aspect, I believe the author mentioned Dragon's Lair as a comparison to this franchise's previous release. It was fun walking around my room, moving the controller up and down (like the Wii) to open cabinets, shower, cook breakfast.
I last played Yakuza 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ke2ivfULh30
I am very finicky about games these days, it seems like so many are geared to the 3-d blow stuff up fans.

Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny.

Me no. I'm a PC gamer so until they release it for other platforms I'm out of luck.
The other players here really seemed to like the twists and turns of the game. I admit the story premise of the game sounds really cool.

Played it right when it came out here in Australia. Loved it too! Great story and I liked the context sensitive button and stick movements. I felt like the whole thing would have fell apart if the story didnt nail it at the end and after playing through a few of the endings i was very impressed. One of the best games i have played this year for sure
Keep enjoying it mate!
Played it, loved it, still don't consider it a game though. It's more of an interactive movie that occasionally wants your assistance to drive the plot (of which has a few holes).

Cool, I like that this has become the ad hoc spoiler-free discussion!
I think... I may be hooked. I don't know how many exclusive PC gamers we have, but this has been a blast. Back in the day, we used to be able to rent game systems from the library of all places. I'll stop short of calling "general quarters," I'm still fiddling around.
I'm maybe five hours in, and whoo hoo hoooooo! Digging the detectives, there are some unreal plot revelations in there and yeah, I may be getting hooked.
Does remind me of Dragon's Lair, come to think of it - the movie aspect, I mean.
P.S., did any of you fold the origami note shown on the load screen? I followed along with my eyes, and just like in grade school, I could not figure out WHAT the heck they were doing when they started flipping it around.
