Pandora bug - Can't obtain the scotch bottle, and then some.

Hi, I'm new here and I wanted to ask a question. I recently bought Pandora not long ago, but I haven't played it until now. I am now well into Day 3 of Pandora and I can't get the bottle of scotch that I am supposed to get for Crazy Gary to get info from him. I know it's supposed to be in the alley behind the pizza parlor all the way at the end and inside the box on the left, but when I opened it, nothing seemed to be inside. And I can't get Crazy Gary to talk until I find that bottle of scotch. On top of that, I also couldn't obtain the photo of young Regan back in Malloy's room at the ritz. I know where to find it, but I can't obtain it.

Any help will be appreciated and sorry this seems so long, lol.
I hope you don't find this too insulting, but you need to move the top box and open the bottom box. If you have done that and the bottle is not there, then I suggest you ask Fred because he probably drank it.

I do hope you mean in the secret room that is behind the Pizza Parlor... It's not in the Alley, it's in a Storage Room... Go to the End of Chandler Avenue and turn left, the Door to the Storage Room is on that wall... And then as Jim said you have to move the box before you open the box that the Scotch is in...

If I may ask, where did you purchase the game??? Are you running off of the CDs or is this a Download version... If you are running CDs, it could be a corrupt file on the CD due to a scratch or something...
If money isn't too tight for you, you could always purchase the Tex Games from GOG... I seriously doubt you'll encounter any issues such as this...

No offense taken. I did that earlier and it still wasn't there. Guess I will have to ask Fred.

That's the one. As I said earlier, I did just that and it still wasn't there.

I ordered the game from a 3rd party seller on Amazon. I'm running it off the original CDs and playing it on a Compaq Presario 7470.

I did originally consider ordering it on GOG.com, but my folks warned me about that kind of thing, as there's always the chance it could harm your computer, and to quote Tex, and I ought to know.
I'm more into red wine. For scotch, I think Cub is the usual suspect.

I remember some else had the same problem, did you have a good look in the box as sometimes you think it's empty. using ctrl & also shift key takes your view up & down.

Also buying from gog is safe.

Yeah, James wouldn't Advertise GOG at the top of his page here if GOG was suspect in admare, malware, or any other harmful additives you might find in downloaded programs... GOG is safe, I've downloaded at least a dozen games from them...

Yes as Plumgas said, I think it's best if you stand as tall as you can and then look down into the box... The Scotch is close in color to that of the box, so if you're not getting a good look in the box you might assume it isn't there...

Oh and Scotch, that's my drink... 8)
