Can't crack the safe

I still hardly believe i can't go trough that Everlok Safe.
I've been entering the combination 22,31,15,7 in each and every possible way but the handle doesn't move at all.
What am i doing wrong?
Plaese help me keep playing this wonderful adventure.

When the frame comes up the cursor is usually on the right of zero.

Clockwise to 22

Counterclockwise to 31

Clockwise to 15

Counterclockwise to 7 (this time you have to go past zero)

Can't belive it...i finally went through the safe!
Thanx, but i still don't get why should i open a safe in the wrong way...i mean, noone would open it in that order.
