Telltale's Back to the Future - Episode 2

Just downloaded this a couple of hours ago. I haven't finished it just yet but as expected, there are a few more plot twists and a more complicated story at play. Without spoiling anything specific, it's definitely inspired by the second film in terms of a past event establishing an alternate timeline. It's heaps of fun. If this is what we're in for in just episode 2, then the remaining few are going to be epic. Anyone else downloaded yet?

I still haven't finished. I'm not using any hints or objective screens. I've just got into the Speak easy tavern so I suspect i'm about half way through this particular episode.
well thank god they have a hint system...........LOL

you are probably 3/4 through the game if you are at the speak easy night club

this would have to be one of the most enjoyable games I have played, it's just fun to play.

Just finished it then without any help of the hint system :) I only had to use it once during Episode 1 and that was for when Marty is on the roof in the park to get a recording of Tanen's voice.

Absolutely love the cliffhanger of this one, I never saw something so drastic like that coming! As for the length, honestly, it felt just right. Keep them short, that way we get the most logical and essential puzzles that are the most relevant to the story without the filler of some of the longer adventure games. Plus, we're only about 2 or 3 weeks away from the next episode, so it's great.

There hasn't been one dull moment so far. For those of you who have played Episode 1 either as buying it stand alone or downloading the free trial and wondering if it's worth to go onto the next episode, do it! More action, more fluidity in the story and even more twists!
Waiting for it to be lunched on iPad. Should come out this month so im really looking forwards to it :D just hop they relese both at the same time so i dont have to torment myself anymore.
I watched the first episode on youtube. Someone uploaded a full length walkthrough of the game. It seems to maintain my perception of Telltale games. Impressive tale telling, terrible gameplay.

Just recently it was announced by Bryan O'Malley on his twitter page that Telltale wanted to make a game based on his comic Scott Pilgrim Versus the World. Thankfully, he declined.

whats bad about the gameplay then? now i know i havent played it yet but the other telltale games had good controle event tales of monkey island witch was a pain to get used to but nice when you got the hang of it. its a point and click adventure.. the formula for making a point and click is as old as adventure games and if the gameplay is bad on this doesent that include all? looked at the walktrough on youtube and it looked like the other telltale and basicly 90% of all the other adventure games i have seen.. oki if you like myst and thos games i can see why you think its bad. but hey, this is just my opinion your ofcorse intiteled to yours.

and to the Scott Pilgrim versus the world i must say i agree thank god they dident want to make it a game cause the movie sucked BALLS and i cant think the comic is much better.
in my steam it says I have access to Episodes 1-5, so I take it they've all been released now?

I think sadly this will be as good as telltale gets, their new games all look like shite except Jurassic Park.
I think what STEAM means by "Access" is that either you've made full payments for the entire season and will be entitled to download once available or if you haven't, it's their way of saying "buy the entire season here". The BTTF game has always been first available from the official Telltale website followed by Steam and iPad. So far, only the first two episodes at Telltale have been released and I don't think they've even finished production on the entire season yet. So no, only 2 episodes available so far.
What I mean by bad gameplay is that it is formulaic. Every single one of their releases. They don't try to be creative, just meet the stripped down easy does it formula of their previous releases. Which to me is bad. Also, I liked the Scott Pilgrim movie so much I bought all the books. And the game. I still haven't bought the movie yet...

So, dread, it looks like we're going to have to agree to disagree on this one.

well to be fair the gameplay is kinda a new twist thoug, that you follow the charecter with the keyboard but use the mouse and the scenery moves, its not as radical as a whole new consept though but you cant say its leaning to much on the classic gamplay of an adventure and if you place the first sam&max games next to back to the future it is a diffrence in gameplay. sorry about being a bit rude on the whole scott pilgrim thing.. was a bad day at work :P
