So I asked her to marry me...
congratulations
, I hope some day I may propose
And as for the book! I just finished reading it a few days ago, and came here for the first time in a long time, and this was the first thread that I clicked on. I was completely shocked to see you mention the book Watership Down.
I actually started reading this thread and when I saw you mention her being a bunny, I instantly thought of the book, and to my surprise, a few sentences later you mentioned the book. It's due back to the library tomorrow, and it is my favorite book now. I actually just bought the movie on DVD, which is an old british adaption from '78. If you haven't seen it I should warn you it is very graphic and disturbing, But still a classic and one of my favorites. It does change quite a few details from the book, but the opening two scenes were quite my favorite.
But goodness, Hazel, Fiver, I want to go read it again.
and since no one else seemed to acknowledge it, I have to say that I'd definitely recommend reading this book! It may sound boring, but it was a huge shock to me considering I haven't read a good book in a while. This may sound cliche, but I couldn't put it down in the final acts.

I couldn't agree more! It's now my all time favourite!Igloop wrote:congratulations, I hope some day I may propose

My Fiancé is reading it at the moment and is about half way through. She's loving it. I also bought the film a few days after reading the book, but I promised her I would wait until she finished the book first so we can watch it together. It will probably make us both cry... I cried in the book a couple of times. I know, a bit of a softy really.
But what an amazing set of coincidences that lead you here at that exact moment, and thank you for posting! I think I may have to re-read the book again soon... you know it's a good one when you genuinely miss the companionship of the characters when you've finished.

I haven't read the book, but I do remember the film. I have it on dvd somewhere.
Good film.
