Someone burned down a local church.

Not that I care too much for religion myself, but this church was inaugurated (or is the proper term concecrated, perhaps?) in 1760. The town had a 250 year memorial thing last year. It was a beautiful building, both inside and outside. A tall white wooden structure with a very well-made, delicately sculpted spire-tower, the ceiling inside was painted a heavenly sky with clouds...

This building had stood for 16 years when Thomas Jefferson drafted the declaration of independence. It was already over a hundred years old when the american civil war broke out.

As for me, I've been to three funerals and one christening in that church.

And then some asshole decided it would be fun to torch it. And now it's all gone. Like I said, I don't care much for the religious aspects.

But I damn well care about history.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
yeah i saw that in VG just now, a real shame, they torched one just a few miles away from me too some 10 year ago, the infamus Count (Greven)( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varg_Vikernes ) was the bastard who did it, he even put a picture of it in his album, now i know why they do it.. its because Christianaty drove of ouer pagen belives with force and set up allot of churches, now i see his point but when the church is this old, its not onley a religus structure but a historical landmark, and i really hate church burners.

I really love black metal and all that but seriusly wtf is the point. (dunno if its related to black metal this time but you know)
i hope ouer incompitant police catches this imbesile fast before he trys to take out ouer really old churches.
