Kickstarter (funding platform)

I've already talked about this way of funding projects, but i just heard about this american site.
You can invest money, and there is rewards for each goals of investment (15, 25, 35 $..etc).
I think it would be a good way to fund a new tex. There's tex fans all over the world, and I'm sure a lot of people are willing to pay a lot of money for tex goodies (Tex shirts? Tex murphy radio theater cd version? Dvd versions of the old games ...etc).
I think that "funding platform's" are the future of the music industry, it could also be the future of indie video games. And, since the new tex murphy game would be the first major game to have his sequel self financed, it would be a good way to have a lot of free advertising.

What do you think?

(Sorry if my english is not so good)
just be careful, a lot of people have been scamming over Kickstarter. I think your intentions are good, but when money gets involved it can become a big problem.
Heres also a heed warning. I am in the indie film business and I heard that indiegogo.com is a better way to go. When you set a goal price, indiegogo will take 10% if met and 4% if not met. I think kickstarter will take all the money if you don't meet your goal  . Just a warning though.

Concept sounds interesting, but as far as Tex goes I don't see it happening. The stakes would have to be huge like tours of Big Finish's headquarters and I don't know how many people would take it that far.
Sowden, kickstarter takes 5% if the goals are met, no monetary transactions are made if the goals aren't. The pledges that people make over kickstarter are not taken from them until, and if only, the goal is made.
